they are just ray traces, they can’t bend. Do you mean go in a slightly different direction than where the muzzle is pointing?

Elites are intended to not really be vulnerable to melee. You need to be sure your melee will kill them when you initiate it.

A roll back is interesting, but also makes them very weak.

I think that the intention was to open the door to these kinds of status effects. Our PvE lead designer is really passionate about these kinds of combos.

We want to flesh out the system over time.

we saw the weapons as characters. We didn’t feel gears 4 did a great job of showing that.

We have a design for a customization override system that does most of what you are looking for. It’s a bit involved and will take some time to build.

But aren’t there already Lancer wielding Drones in the Campaign? This was already the case with Gears 4 Horde where they were in the Campaign but not Horde(but at least there the Drone Elites had a Lancer). How much work would that take to bring over?

I swear to you the game does not bend bullet trajectories into a curve. What you are seeing is real and likely caused by something else. We have seen similar reports. We will investigate what’s going on.

One note - kill cam is not 100% accurate. It shows the server view, not the enemy client view. It’s on our list but it’s an extensive amount of work.

It needs a melee delay after shooting. Right now there’s a very long meLee delay after melee. we have to add code to do this, which is why it isn’t done now.

  1. Originally, I thought Gears 5 Campaign would have been two players co-op like Gears 4. But instead, it turned out to be three players co-op. Couldn’t it have been four players co-op like Gears 3 and Judgement? Or that could be possible with Gears 6?

  2. Re-up 0 to 20 looks like Re-up 0 to 10 from Gears 4. Then Re-up 21 to 50 being added on, was kinda like adding Wings 1 to 5 from Gears 4. Would it even be considered to add Re-up 51 to 100, later on down the road, like how Wings 6 to 10 were added on Gears 4?

  3. Why was their no Launch Achievement for getting maxed cards? Kinda like the Classy! Achievement from Gears 4. Or could it be added in future? I’d say it better linked to getting all Launch characters’ cards maxed.

  4. Why’d we still not have Beast Mode? When playing Jack and hijacking, it feels weird to play the Swarm. Not used to controls and stuff. It could have been practised and gotten used to in a Beast Mode.

  5. Is it possible to have Dave? By this, I mean a variant of Jack but still a stand alone hero character for Horde. The Campaign had different utilities that could be used. But we can’t swap them out in Horde mode. So like being able to Stim allies, set Shock Traps, Cloaking allies, Flash enemies. Playing Jack with healing, zapping and hijacking is cool and all, but there could be more variety to it. Even if it meant adding onto another hero called Dave. And different cards to come with it.

  6. If Hivebusters were usable in Horde mode, and New Delta were usable in Escape. Does this mean they’ll still use the same cards, even if pointless in the mode? Or could they get additional new cards added?

  7. Why does Seriously 5.0 now have a Part 1? This seem to mean that there’ll be Part 2, 3 or so on. Why? What was the reasoning behind this?

We did that with stumps because they became so easy to kill with the overheat cycle and ended up just feeling like slow scions.

@N0DEZER0 pretty low down on the list, but I’d really love to see an ability to switch a weapon in the locker with the same weapon without deleting the weapon for ammo. If I’m playing JD and there’s only 1 slot and I’ve paid 3k for a duplicate I don’t wana see that translate to a few grenades with now nothing on recharge, also total kudos on just how actively you’re plowing thru questions :+1:

I believe the lvl 3 bug is fixed in TU3.
We will rebalance the characters soon.
Based on the popularity of kit and Emile, we may look into adding more cards.
