Thank you for coming on the forums it’s very well appreciated! The one big complaint I have with multiplayer is in Horde with not being able to play the character I want. The abilities are cool and are an awesome addition to horde. But the drawback is many people including my self can’t play our favourite characters because someone else has already chosen him or switches to him before the match starts.

A suggestion I have is maybe open all the abilities to all characters but in a lobby no one can have the same ability equipped.

For example there can be two JDs in a lobby but both of them can’t have the same “death from above” ability. So one must switch to different ability. It allows both players to play their favourite character while also having a different ability.

The drawback of course is it takes the uniqueness of the ability from a specific character away but honestly I think it’s better to have players choose what character they want without an ability limitation in lobbies preventing them. Plus it also adds more customization options!

How is the risk raised, in any way, shape or form?

You can still instantly melee after firing a shot, still melee outside of gib range.

You shouldn’t be able to melee immediately after firing.

I’m shocked, baffled and outraged in equal measures at this “nerf”.

The “richer melee experience” line really rubbed salt into the wound too.

This is a shooting game, not a button mashing fighting game.

The only “richer melee experience” you can offer is to make the melee like it was in gears 4.

Keep the knife, no one cares about that.

Melee is supposed to be a “last ditch” attempt at killing your enemy when your back is against the wall.

It’s being used as a primary attack. That tells you that the implementation in this game is completely wrong.

Also the part about being able to dodge an in progress melee attack within 0.26 seconds is ludicrous.

Fair points - I love the idea of venom grenades. Venom does have a way of getting the best of you.

We are looking at giving players more control over the omen.

The bullets don’t curve. I’m not sure what you mean.

Yeah. our intention was to go a lot further post launch but then, well, launch happened. We’ll get to it.

Thanks for the feedback. Are you saying that the game would play different if you could choose which character’s skin would go with another’s abilities?

All of it. The ultimates, the models, the vfx, the vo, the cards, the balancing and testing. The forum lets you see the post you are replying to inline by clicking the name on the top right of the response .

I think he’s saying that players shouldn’t have to choose between their favorite character and a set of abilities or weapons

It sounded like he was saying the gameplay was catering to babies.

There are definitely cases in this game where you can shoot around cover in impossible ways.

People call it “wrap around” shots.

I’m sure I saw you agree that this is happening earlier in this thread?

It’s intentional. We don’t want people voting for the default because they just want to see their rewards. We’d rather just the people that have a preference vote.
