Wait, what?

Why are there three kinds of frag? I find that odd.
But I’d like spot and stim grenades to make a come back.

Cryo grenades? Toxic cannon? :eye::eye::eye:

If you look around at the dlc you will find those two weapons the toxic cannon is like a cryo who shots wakatu’s Venom instead of ice

Lots of people have seen cryo grenade snippets so wouldn’t surprise me, a welcome addition too in multiplayer to me, be pretty cool & variety is always fresh

You have the Pendulum Wars era frags (the ones you find inside of Mount Kadar and the prologue for GOW4) the Locust War era frags (the most common ones) and the Swarm War era frags (the more round ones that come out of Trackers)

Maybe if you’d show that instead of claiming it is there when nobody even pointed it out, you would have more people believe.

As far as I can tell the “Cryo grenade” marker is just incorrect because when picked up it was an Incendiary grenade marked as a cryo grenade.

And the only Cryo Cannon I remember finding in the entire DLC Campaign was from a single Ice Scion in Sanctum.

There’s definitely cryo grenades. They’re incendiary, but if you hit them with the cryo it
Turns them into cryo grenades. There’s videos on YouTube.

Seems strange that nobody’s pointed this out on the forums. I’ll check this when I play it next time or bother looking it up on YouTube but I never got the idea of shooting the Cryo at the grenades for such a result. Seems more like a not as hidden secret though.

But a Cryo Cannon that shoots the Wakaatu acid instead?

It was posted here as well. You must have just missed it.

I’ma have to find that now… well, when I play the DLC again. I’m assuming it’s somewhere on the island in Chapter 5? It looks like that at least.

There was multiple threads, I merged a few.

Me and @SNAKEYWAKEY389 were using the acid cannon in the DLC. It was awesome.
Love to have that thing in horde.

That wasn’t what I missed, I saw the cryo grenade marker and threads about it. I didn’t see the post about the video with it, and thought it was a bug rather than a less hidden secret. Never came to my mind you were supposed to use the Cryo Cannon from the only Ice Scion in the entire DLC on them, even when it stood out to me that that was literally the only spot one appears in. Just thought it was a subtle way of telling us the Ice Scions aren’t just a non-canon creation made for Horde and Escape.

Where do you find it?

Neither really look like real weapons, this almost 100% means they are never going to be expanded on any further, maybe in Gears 6 but that’s about it. Easter eggs just be easter eggs sometimes.

Edit: the concept is cool and all but in order for them to make them actual weapons they need to give them their own textures/sounds and all that, if the scorcher came out and looked like an enforcer don’t think it would’ve had the same impact lol.

Yeah. I remember there was a couple of easter egg weapons in GOW4 too. Wasn’t there a freeze-gun which was based on the HOD targeter on one of the prologue sections? And wasn’t there a special Boomshot found in Act 1?
