One of a few existing threads on this issue, TC is aware too.
As for the inverted triggers, people have also complained about that but no word on it. Also rather annoying and was not needed.

they probably need to go through another long certification process before this is fixed. might be waiting for OP5 for all this stuff to be fixed.

I don’t know with those who are not friends because I can only host on PC (on Xbox the squad doesn’t show up at all since the last update) and, I haven’t tried to play a public game without my friends, but I can kick friends who are part of the squad in a private game.
Agreed, looks like they have a certification window each month for a TU. outside of that only small changes are made.
Too bad a Ranked “feature” makes PvE hard to play for another month, because apparently ranks are more important than fun and functional features for all modes.

You’re the only person I’ve seen report this on the forums.
So I am really the only one!
No more friends displayed in the social tab, and unable to join friends with Xbox applications in Windows (starting a 2nd game instance that does not succeed)
I notified it the day after the update to report bug to Support.GearsofWar.com (request # 46976 )
This was a huge issue for PC players I know over the weekend.

Yes both PC and Xbox players - i was also unable to invite via the XBOX menu ‘Invite to Game’ - though that appears to have settled down now.
What i cant see in the Social Tab is who is in the party and other options such as
-View GamerCard
-Kick Player
the above options appear if you are in the public lobby before loading into a game via the standard UI.
Seeing this bug myself, those that can, please also put a ticket in to narrow down a few things. Getting it investigated asap.

on xbox companion it shows you an ad to download the xbox app, after i downloaded the xbox app and joined my friend through that instead IT WORKED!!!

Just join using xbox app, Companion or game does not work.

I used GameBar to join games on friday
edit: they seem to be axing support for the old Xbox Companion app, it’s slowly being stripped of functionality. the new one is just called Xbox in the storefront.
I don’t like the new Xbox app:
- Displayed each time Windows starts -> I have disabled automatic start
- Does not display the list of players I have played with recently
- Too intrusive: unwanted ads and too restricted settings
So I don’t use it.
Same for the game bar because I do not want an overlay and I disabled it.
But I have tested and it works for both of these things
This issue affects everyone playing gears 5, its the update that removed the social tab being used to show opposite team in ranked that caused this problem to arise.
I also have an issue where it doesn’t show all the ppl playing gears on my friends list in the social tab, it always just shows 1 person playing gears and the others are shown as just being online.
I also noticed that it now shows ppl as their ally lvl from top to bottom as 15% xp at the top then decreases the further down u go on the social tab, is this a bug or working as intended since latest update?
I see u said its getting investigated asap, i think this should be a high priority bug to get fixed, not just investigated.

I also understand op5, gears tactics and the new xbox is coming and TC will be busy with that but as ur probably aware every update brings even more problems and i think everyone is starting to get extremely annoyed with these problems that these updates bring.
We’ve recently had, bleed/stun barriers coming n going, broken cards for lizzie/grace, cards unequiping in horde/escape, gnashers bugs and these r only the ones i can remember.
Im sure if TC were to say ok we need to push this update out now but this (insert bug/issue) will be present after the update but will be fixed very soon then im sure TC will get alot less aggro.
