That’s a fair call-out. For background, my purview up until Octus’ departure has predominantly elsewhere like stream producing as Ghost mentioned. Until his spot is filled, I’ll try to pop in here more to add extra TC coverage.
Quick edit to add that I echo the shout-outs to our forum mods. Those guys are crushing it and are great at covering a lot of things. More TC presence is definitely something we’d like to expand, but the mods deserve a ton of kudos for their work.
NGL I think there are better options for maps.
You’d do better remotely than most could within an office environment.

It is great to see that you are posting at least here. Hopefully it is something you (or TC) will do in future too. There is a lot of spam but there is also a lot of input. Some feedback from TC about some stuff would be great from time to time.
For example I can’t watch dev streams live because of different time zones so I never had any chance to ask something. I tried to contact Octus so many times on twitter without any response. It is a little bit frustrating. There are also players outside the US / Canada.
Maybe you can give any information in near future about some things TC promised. Not now but maybe at some point:
- Gears 5 ally XP and general XP adjustment
- Gears 4 flaming and midnight omen skins planned for January 2020 + achievement bug fix for all story related achievements if you have played on the PC (mentioned HERE and HERE). Already sent tickets but you don’t get feedback for bugs so I don’t know if you take a look or not…
- Gears UE (Win 10) server and exp issues (known for about 1 year)
I think Octus was a great player and knew how to tweak and balance Gears 5 MP. But he was not very present here and that’s TC’s or Gears’ fanbase. So hopefully you take a little bit more care of forums.
