Going from 5 to 4 there’s a huge difference in gameplay feel. And with the delays in 5 I move way faster than I did before in 4.
I want to just use 4 for MP and play 5 for Horde and Escape just to get stars and rank up.

Gears 4 is still trash lol, just not as bad as Gears 5
Yo do people actually play gears ue still lol honestly I think the only problem with 5 is the store and ranked. Ranked needs a fix but everything else is pretty fun for me just waiting to see how they handle the extra content at this point with the tour of duty
ToD should be abolish! I like the idea of medal challenges which bring us back to previous gears but they are mode specific which I do not like! Its like they are pushing you to play some modes that you don’t really care for. Make more challenges like the basic, weapons, even enemies which should count when you play campaign and not only on horde or escape! You know some people don’t play those mode because they don’t like it and prefer versus for the thrill and adrenaline rush!
Actually I don’t mind it too much these days. It’s Versus is actually enjoyable, 75% of the time…70%…65%…5%…
How’s the player base? This is one of my favorites!
Facts just facts people don’t realize how good 4 was/is until now😂
We should squad up and play 4 again …it does feel smoother but for me it’s the fact that it looks crisper graphically in multiplayer for some reason
Yeah we should. I wanna get Diamond in koth.
Better late than never lmao
Wait so season 7 in g4 is continuous(never ending)? U can still climb?
It ends 2020 I believe
Then ranks are removed
Ah gotcha I didn’t no that lol I only played like maybe a week or 2 of season 7
Yee so we got plenty of time
Bet sounds like a plan I’ll be on today and tomorrow so whenever u good hit me up
At least I can use my mic in gears 4😂
Yee I’ll prob be on tonight. We’ll deff get some games in
I think G5 is better in some ways and G4 is better in some ways. The problem is more fundamental with single purchase games. Single purchase games by nature are more focused on being fresh and new, being different and innovative enough to get that initial sale, than they are about being a better version of their predecessor. This is why the fee to play w/ micro transaction model is better, it encourages devs to improve upon the experience everyone already knows and loves, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel every time. I think the numbers show this model can be very profitable given LoL’s success.
The numbers showed 3 million people playing within the first week i heard, but think how many of those are game pass users or people who already had game pass and thought they would just try it. I doubt many will stick around after their deal ends or even buy the game, God of War sold 3.1 million in the first 3 days and that was all physical copies i believe, that game also had no multiplayer or micro-transactions and basically everybody loved it, myself included. Also i never played Lol but i believe that’s a free game? so micro-transactions are more acceptable there than in a fully priced triple A game with the bare minimum of content at launch, which is not helping keeping new players
Yes i guess it’s a bit of both. When you already pay for a game players do probably expect to get a lot of content up front and not have half the game locked behind shamefully high prices.
But i think even more important to how players view MT is the system, content, pricing, etc. Players want high quality content, at a fair price, without playing loot box games designed of course not in the players best interest. Overall it’s about wanting to feel like you have a good relationship with a company. You as a player want to feel respected, and feel like you are in a mutually beneficial situation not getting taken advantage of.
That is what i feel like LoL does. They offer high quality skins at a decent price, and i don’t feel like they’re trying to trick me every which way for a penny. A lot of the devs these days don’t understand the basic concept of respecting the customer. They put out lazy ■■■ content that sometimes even sacrifices the quality of gameplay, for absurd prices knowing that yes, some people will buy it. I just want to know when in the history of business has that kind of strategy worked over the long term. LoL is living proof that being a honest merchant DOES result in higher profits.
