So I decided to try out gears 5 for the first time since the tuning was implemented......yikes

Ok I’m going to try to be as non bias as possible first thing I noticed as I begin to to play is I can still bounce pretty well but when encountering other players it was more of a inconvenience to use so I played passively

the roadie run is really bad I feel like I could live with the slide speed at this level if the roadie was faster

Rolling was instant death for both me and my opponents I really don’t understand what the purpose of it is anymore once again just seems like another inconvenience

The gnasher is pretty inconsistent (surprise surprise) shots that I didn’t think would do much did more damage than shots I was sure would kill maybe I need more practice but the gears 4 gnasher does a way better job imo

Shot delay…just please stop this nonsense why is this even in the game it makes no sense it’s not skillful or tactical just yet another inconvenience

The lancer I didn’t use at all but everyone who used it on me was probably frustrated because it was doing absolutely nothing I felt mosquito bites worse than that seriously it’s not even a joke it shouldn’t even be considered a gun at this point it’s a prop it just seems like an inconvenience to use

My ping was around 50 at the start of the match but for some reason I was still lagging I don’t understand why this game feels so poorly made the fact that we’re arguing about tuning with servers this bad is laughable this is a bad game from a technical standpoint and it’s not really up for debate

Why did I even come back u may be asking just to see where all this positive feedback TC was speaking of was stemming from I don’t see how this is considered enjoyable I couldn’t click off fast enough I immediately opened gears 4 after I was done to remember what a fun gears felt like

Long story short TC I’m appalled that this is what y’all released to the public I feel like y’all gave up maybe y’all got tired of complaints and just threw it together but this is unacceptable and as a fan of the franchise I can’t support this

Sometimes? I’m completely wired with a sub 10 ping to the closest Azure datacenter and still get connection and packet loss icons popping up and average pings over 150. It’s the ONLY game that gives me these types of problems.
Sure, wired is preferable to Wi-Fi for anything high bandwidth and low latency on the internet, but I doubt this is the OP’s main issue.

I was just saying even if you run wifi, which sometimes is the only option you might have at the moment, it’s not always going to be horribly unstable and the servers are at cause then(as they’ve been lately). Of course wired is preferable but usually a good connection with wifi is going to remain mostly stable if the network isn’t in overuse or someone’s streaming stuff somewhere.

Initially it felt harsh and boring, now it’s fine to me. I just needed to get used to it.

To be honest, when I first played this new tuning I found it slow and boring.

I now find it tediously slow and deeply depressing.
