I have Asus ROG 752VM and this laptop has i7 6700K , 1060 6G, 16G DDR4 RAM and 1TB SSD driver.
I’ve tried all Gears of War series including Gears Tactics. Frame rate is fluctuating and the average frame rate is around 28~30 fps. But, this happens only when I installed official NVIDIA driver version 4xx or up. Same behavior observed with the latest NVIDIA driver version 445.87…
However, if I use old Nvidia video card driver version 399.24, it runs at steady 60 fps on 1080P resolution.
Since it happens on all Gears series (Gears of War Ultimate, Gear of War 4, Gears of War 5 and Gears Tactics), I’m pretty sure this is something that Gears Team needs to fix this. With the latest NVIDIA driver, I’ve tried tons of games, but the problem only happens on Gears game.
