I opened the pack through the card companion, not ingame.
the card probably has the wrong rarity on the web companion app. I think this was the case of Black Steel classic Marcus previously.
@anon86589457 / @TC_Octus probably can sort this out if turns out its the incorrect card rarity.

In game it was epic like it should be, just surprised the heck outof me.
If thats the case, if @TC_Vectes / @TC_Octus doesnt see this ping, @forum-mods can flag this up to them.
The plus side of random number generation? I mean technically the plus side is the same as the negative side…
happened to me too, only took me 4 packs to get all the chars 3 packs were armored kantus and the 4th was kim and marcus

So you actually got 2 characters IN THE SAME PACK?
Option A: The one in charge had a change of heart and wants to actually benefit the paying customer.
Option B: the game has been so bugged and filled with error messages lately that it really comes as no surprise unexpected behavior in esports packs (still need to be sure before I actually buy one).

companion web app has different card rarity uploaded for Kim. But its going to get fixed like how Black Steel Classic Marcus was.
This makes me think, they actually render card rarity and character preview as one image. But somehow, somewhere someone mistaken on the rarity 
That would explain why rarity differs in game and web companion app.

actually the pack themselves does say you’re guaranteed ONE esports character but that doesnt mean you cant hit the jackpot and get all 3 in one pack if you get insanely lucky getting both of the epic skins are more common than you think
Gears Esports packs opening has been a youtube thing for some time now. In Packs 1-5 you could get anything between 0-3 characters in the same pack and after the change of rules for pack 6, TC said you are guaranteed a character each pack yet after watching dozens of videos opening esports packs on youtube, I’ve yet to see ONE in which you get 2 characters in the same pack.
It’s not about “hitting the jackpot”, it wasn’t meant to be in the first place.

pretty sure it’s intended the description doesnt state you can only get one i’m sure you’ve opened an esports pack and got a black steel character with a non-BS character all it means is you get 2 BS skins thats why the description says one ESPORTS character,here’s something on the esports site
https://gearsofwar.com/en-us/esports/SupporterPack10 notice how they describe the CARD SLOTS it is completely possible and intended as they list that you can get a black steel character 3 times and a weapon skin twice meaning getting two characters means you get 1 weapon skin and 3 chars means no weapon skins
I suppose that is true via the actual wording in the description… but I’ve never once heard of it happening until I just had it happen to me… not to say it hasn’t happened before but it has got to be just the top % of rare to happen.
i mean obviously it’s super rare i’ve only had it happen to me 2 times, but it’s certainly intended
Judging by the description alone means very little, take TC response to rank problems, “it is working as intended” that is literally what they said and we can all agree that is a big pile of BS and I don’t mean Black Steel by that 
Now if you said it happened to you and @RINZLER_2849 confirms it (I wasn’t sure if it was true or a joke) then by all means the description is correct and indeed working as intended yet it would appear the rate for that to happen is very low, similar to legendaries dropping in versus or horde boosters packs (I got 1 in 400 on average).
But still I stand by what I said earlier, it most likely happened due to the card rarity bug in card companion.

both of mine happened in the game though pretty sure it’s just pure RNG my first double pull was classic baird and cole and then in this pack i got kim and marcus in one i dont open packs in the card companion because i feel like i get better luck in the game lol i never get good pulls on the app
My minh is legendary on console. Is that right?
As I said in my previous post like with Black Steel Marcus previously, the card app has the rarity wrong.
