Anything that requires luck disqualifies me. I saw a guy 'nade plant once, thought it was my chance, shot it, and it killed others, but not the one who planted it. I facepalmed so hard it echoed.

But to be on topic, I’m against the idea of 5.0 including other Seriously’s because the idea of a game’s progression being reliant on other titles, whether or not they’re in the same series, is an idea I don’t agree with. If Seriously 5.0 is going to be about elitism (and I don’t think it should be) then it should be a timed thing. “Meet these requirements within X days of starting the game.”

You can have a life and still acquire seriously. I have 4.0 and I raise two children and have a wife. It’s how we enjoy ourselves at the end of a long day. So to say people don’t have lives is an uneducated assumption.

Same here. Wifey and 2 kids and a job. So I only managed to get Seriously 4.0 after like what, 2 and a half years…lol. Wouldn’t take any of it back!

4.0 is achievable through playing at your leisure… Now if you were to add say “Be Diamond Rank in any 3 game modes” it becomes something totally different. Because for most people, it will take a fairly decent time investment to get that rank.

Are you sure you are not mistaken because as I recall ribbons cannot be earned in private matches regardless of the number of people you have.

I’m positive, I have friends that did it that way and I see 10 man ribbon boosting posts in LFG all the time.

You don’t earn ribbons in private matches I play regularly with a group of 7 to 10 people and don’t ever recall getting ribbons. Only private game mode you get ribbons in is Horde…

there’s a way to cheese the system so that all of you get put in the same match all you need to do is change your Xbox server region and go to a dead server

That must be what they did then. I thought it was private but I know for a fact they were in parties with 10 people.

Didn’t mean to demean your life & I’ve probably played more hours of Gears than you ever will… However I played Gears 1 to death straight from launch but haven’t even got Seriously because I played social with friends against friends & to be honest that was the very best Gears hands down. I would love seriously but the endless fun I had with friends I will remember fondly forever. Achievements & Seriously 5 (6789) should be game based so you don’t need to take yourself off to a sad corner & grind out various hateful weapons or less enjoyed game modes… People should be able to get Seriously by just playing the game with friends for a long time. Who is the greater fan, who cares… I have friends whom have gamer scores of 100’s of thousands grinding out achievements pointless just have fun playing just the games you love in the mode you love with the weapon layouts you love with friends BOOM!

The only thing stopping me from getting Seriously is completing Horde on the launch maps. It is so tiring playing Horde for 2 hours per game, only did speed runs.

Hi Slays,
Just going to hop on and add that for some people, getting the achievements is the fun part. I have to admit, i enjoy Gears for what it is, but i have an urge to 100% it, hence why i am torturing myself in the comp playlist against some of the most toxic people i have ever come across.
For example:

At the end, when i get that rare achievement pop, i’ll be happy and to me, it’ll have been worth it.

I love achievements also… & I get you totally…… I just hoped they could make the achievements for the next Gears more fun & less an obscure grind, so much fun has already been ripped out of Gears, $$$ £££, micro transactions, bots, focusing on competitive Gears, host advantage, lag, lack of servers outside of US, rip-off season pass, more old maps etc. etc.

You can do it on private but not 25 waves has to be full 50 in one session on all launch maps.
