Sense, logic, and the real truth

Clearly you are missing the point to the subject matter. It may require some reading which you stated you didnt do so miss me with that nonsense. Anyway dont worry I’ll stick to TDM so dont worry your precious little head.

I’m sure you look fabulous

I can’t tell if thats sarcasm or genuine :joy: I’m going to assume the former.

The only thing I’m really genuine about is delivery driver Mac

Quality isn’t there either … bad decisions, bad execution …

Matchmaking, input delay, Customization, Tour of duty, Horde class thingy & … .

& lack of new ideas …

Oh I read that first paragraph.

I agree…stick with tdm because you dont understand koth at all. Actually arcade would be better.

If you cant understand the difference between both and the comparison I was making I dont need you on my team anyway as you would definitely waste all the respawns.

And why would you stop at that? Gears 3 had it right with weapon balance and the ability to still maneuver. If you don’t like shotgun play you could literally pick up ANY other shooter and you have your wish.

Gears is the one shooting game that stood out, was different. You could get out of any situation with wit and skill.

The reason we flood the forums is get our point across. But the problem is they wait to damn long, people move on and that’s that. They are losing long time fans on things that can be changed with a minor patch, or even simply getting on their own forums and informing us of everything on what’s going to change, what’s not changing and why certain Multiplayer decisions were made. Sometimes just a simple show of community support is what’s needed. No patch, no post, no updates, and people have already moved on. This game will be as a dead as judgment here before long. That’s what I am trying to prevent.

I miss Gears at its core. A remaster of Gears 3 Multiplayer would indeed be great as long as they don’t mess with the tuning of weapons.
And honestly I’ve said it before, none of the issues alone are major, but all of them together becomes a major problem. I hope they listen and they can find away to make the game fun and balanced where all sides are content, I won’t use the wording happy, just content.

I agree with you about the ping. People make a big deal about it, but there’s something else going on. I usually have the lowest ping, but I’ve never felt it gives me an advantage. In fact, i think the game is coded to buff guys with high ping in some manner. I have lots of captures of garbage hit detection. Last night i flashbanged a guy, gnashered him point blank while he was in the blind animation, got a hit marker, didn’t so much as put him down, then i got one shotted from his teammate from behind. That just shouldn’t happen. There’s something seriously wrong with their netcode. It’s not the ping. It’s a poorly coded multiplayer game, plain and simple.

Yeah I just got done playing and had a guy shoot a good 2 yards to the right of where I even was and he still killed me. Ping and lag have nothing to do with what’s going on.

That happened to me in the same game i was complaining about in my previous reply to you! Lol Fired over my right shoulder and one shotted me.

I was on the map with the laser I was on the left side running across bounced off the walls messed his aim up and he shot so far to the right on kill cam he literally shot air. Wasn’t even remotely close to me, it was some major bs.

Exhibit. I hate that map lol

I don’t know about that chief.

Ping seems to be accurate this time around. Did a game of Escalation the other day, mostly PC players vs console players. Everyone on my team had 100+ ping. 1 PC player had 50ms, and I had 99ms on average. The opposing team all had 4 players at 30ms~50ms, with 1 player at 11ms.

While we did our absolute HARDEST to fight because… I hate to say this, but if you been playing Gears PC as long as I have, you know as a player what you can and can’t do when we are the ones with the high ping. We did not win not once a game round of Escalation. We got beat every time in Gnasher battles, rifle duels, and juking / faking snipers.

If this was Gears 1 PC with P2P and the same outcome was played, we would’ve stood a chance against some of the players on the opposing team, since the opposing team would only have host (0ms ping), but it felt like we was playing 5 host, due to dedicated servers + region lock + skill gap.

Bottomline, ping works and it’s accurate and latency plays a factor.

It definitely does, I guess I worded myself poorly above. What I meant was ping has nothing to do with random shots that register when they shouldn’t.

Maybe it’s a combination of things. Hard to say. But from what I’ve seen (and I’ll look out for it more in future matches), he who does the best doesn’t always have the lowest ping.

But regardless of that, there’s still other issues, such as hit boxes, that haven’t been addressed.

Random shots registering is a combination of a lot of things.

Latency does play a factor but it’s more of the how the Gnasher spread pattern is designed for Gears 5. It somewhat reminds me of the Gears 2 Retail - preTU5 gnasher spread pattern.

So there are outter pellets that come out that even if the player isnt looking like they are NOT facing the player, they will connect and do damage. There’s also the magic tricketry that they implemented in Gears 4 comp 2.1 I believe that the barrel of the gnasher does a switch from the tip back to the camera or vice verse depending on how close you are to the opponent (hip fire only)

Also as far as your rushing argument goes,

You have to present which game type you are speaking about.
Rushing works fantastic still in KoTH.
Doesn’t work that well in Arcade.
Definitely does not work in Escalation.
Execution? Well you have 1 life and so does the other opponent, so it depends on the situation.

You have to mention these things in your argument OP.
Gnasher play is still pretty dominant in Gears 5. Lancers yes they are OP and could use a slight nerf but the gnasher is still is pretty sturdy under good latency and 60hz servers.

I am enjoying Gears 5 a lot. I am a little bored though that due to player pop I can’t play escalation as much, but there’s HIVE and HORDE and all of that jazz. So I am whole heartly happy with 5.

I don’t care about the micro transaction stuff because I never did care when play Gears. The only thing annoying me about Gears 5 is the flash bangs. That’s it!

ps: The lancer in 5 is really the Retro fanning combined with the regular Lancer rapid fire, with the recoil of a Gears 1 Lancer, with an active reload that shoots lazers like an HB from Gears 3 but a bit less tone down.

*shrug

Just to add, IMO,

Gears 3 had the worse weapon tuning, unless it was the Zeta / Old School playlist.

Gears 3 was plagued with:

  • Hyper active wall bounce which could only be negated with Stopping power
  • OP Ranger Gnasher, which made gnasher battle meta blah
  • OP Rifles over all, Long range HB which I abused the hell out of myself, that includes the retro

And then there was the athestics to the game. Horrible gibs and what not… there’s more stuff but it doesn’t come to mind.

I love Gears 3, don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t the best for MP. It was the most solid one of them all but now I feel Gears 4 & 5 take that crown.

Terms of balance, I still feel UE had it just right.

Me too man I recommend using Ray-Bans, they remove the glare of those suckers .

I agree with you if they would release a Gears of War 3 Remaster I would definitely buy it , I wouldn’t even play it on Game pass, in such a disrespect for such a bad ■■■ game.
