Uhm fortnite player numbers have been dropping like flys because season 10 is god awful and Epic keeps making terrible decisions on balancing and new wacky zany gameplay elements in parts of the map.
I didn’t read the article but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if a new basically $2 game is doing better than fortnite at the moment. Doesn’t mean it will last though

I don’t know where or when that image is from. However, I just checked my store and it’s 5th on the list. With all the problems and Borderlands coming out today it will drop quick, hope I’m wrong, but it is a bugfest.
Edit = It’s actually 7th according to my Xbox store.

It’s far from dead though hahaha.
But no one should underestimate the impact the server issues of the first few days had. That was a (the?) massive key moment for the game / TC to make an impact on a wider gaming audience. Sure, there’ll be a small but steady stream of newcomers as long as Gears 5 remains basically free with GP(/U). But there are (and will remain) a lot of people who are done with the game after such poor first impressions of the service.

Its dropped to 7th already because there’s not many reasons to stay, so they simply haven’t
So a new free game done better than a sh it free game for 5minutes, that ‘fact’ gets twisted for marketing and we’re supposed to believe it? Then listen to ppl flaunt it like it’s hard evidence the games not dying quick?

I know many that said that they would do that, but I can tell you a lot folded and bought it on Epic store, XB and PS4. Some, like you will hold off, and that’ll give Borderlands 3 another boost in 6 months. As for Gears 5, it will drop over the coming weeks, unless TC get it sorted quickly.
I don’t like to be forced to play certain characters for skills. ■■■■■■■■ and please keep G4 up so I can have fun.

I agree, forced characters was a stupid idea imo. It’s not fun selecting your favorite horde character, applying your cards, and then you get changed because “duplicate”

Gears game would not stay in top 5 even if they made a game every hardcore fan was dreaming of tbf.
Luckily for me I love the game and can’t get enough of it. Maybe it’s a good thing that i’m not a “hardcore” fan of the franchise and dodged disappointment!

It will be dead in no time. Games that are this broken die off real quick. It’s a shame cuz it could’ve done very well and had stayed relatively high on the list, but the tuning weapon damages are awful and way better games are coming out.
