Ryan Cleven is leaving TC & Gears for good

It’s possible he asked them not to.

lets hope those guys like Gears of War UE and 3 , if they do I think Gears 5 could work well in the future.

This reminds of right before Gears 3 last TU when suddenly Lee Perry disappeared, then, we lost Cliff B. and finally we got Quinn & Pete as their replacements.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s bad. Sure this opens opportunity for another dev to take a jab at it, but let’s be honest. Gears the franchise has been streamlined once Microsoft acquired, and MS has money to burn … so… honestly, Gears should be fine.

It would be nice if Lee and Cliff came back for a brief tenure… but only time will tell. Money talks last I heard. :sunglasses:

No idea, probably Clevens cleavage as it bounced in the wind and smacked his phone.

So he’s responsible for the aim assist in gears. Yup glad you’re gone. Who’s next

there are several types of aim assist and I believe all but maybe 1 existed before TC became the developers.
I guess you could say Ryan is responsible for aim assist being in the game because he didn’t remove it, but he’s not the one who put it there

Did he bring this extreme bullet magnetism though? It’s definitely much higher than previous games.

I honestly lost track of which aim assist is which. There was friction, magnetism, adherence maybe.
Was magnetism the one that stopped gnasher pellets from going between legs or under armpits?

I think it was the one that caused bullets that should have missed to pull towards the enemy and connect despite being misses.

It’s very obvious with a Longshot for example.

Aim Adhesion was the new one they added to Gears 5. Everything else was legacy.

Is that the one where your reticle would move towards an enemy? Never in my life until Gears 5 did I ever see my reticle follow an enemy who’s behind cover as he moved. It’s so bad.

Yep, and it still throws me off at times.

That’s some Call of Duty level nonsense right there. It was very apparent in the original Black Ops too. You’d have no idea where the enemy was but your aim would move with him so you’d instantly know.

Touche

The rest was legacy, but tc where the ones who dialled it all up to 11.

It’s actually lower than the older games.

According to TC, who obviously are known for not lying about stuff and are always crystal clear with their information? Get out of here.

Unless they show us the actual stats and settings (literally a screenshot of the table with this data in it) or bother to truthfully tell us how the mechanics work, their previous form suggests that they are not quite telling the truth.
