Just goes to show that they like the game the way it is and it’s not going to change a lot. Which is just sad because of how much of a broken mess it is.

That seems to be the norm these days. In video games and movies. If your audience doesn’t like it they insult you, call you sexist or racist. How many other business’s do you see deliberately pissing off their customers?

Well there is a difference between being toxic and being constructive. I am not perusing the tweets to TC or any dev member but my experience with some in social media is that more time than not people resort to being toxic. You can critique something and keep a certain level of respect.

Lets be honest, how do you grow or get better without feedback? You cant…but its the manner in which you do it that makes the difference. if your gonna go straight in no mercy expect Rod and Co to get pissed off.

Cast you mind back to Gears 2 for instance, we had MP local host with modded controllers using Hammerbursts sitting back firing lasers at people…the amount of abuse the game took then was insane. If you compare what we have now to then the game has come on in milestones…servers at 60hrz? Come on people things are so much better than they were, Us vets who have stars, wings etc went through all that madness to get to this point…apprieciate what you have before you.

I’m sorry… but what a worthless video that is. Comparing today’s trends and prices to trends and prices from over 10 years ago is just pointless. Plus, the guy is just flat out wrong about the prices being more expensive than anything EA or other publishers have done. A single character skin or weapon skin in Apex cost $20, plus they have paid for supply drops like Gears 4 did, so they are doubling down.

Just added the video in context to why the community is toxic.

Absolutely, this community has been disgustingly toxic and entitled over the last couple weeks.

Just imagine pouring your heart into a project for three years of your life, you are really proud of it and can’t wait for the world to see it. Instead of acclaim and legitimate criticism that you’ll use to improve it, you are bombarded by low effort s*** posts just vomiting on every aspect of the game, not just the specific portion that there is a legitimate (enough) complaint about. Of course, when you finally dig through the muck and mire and see a post that actually is complementing you for your hard work, you’re going to like it.

I’ll be the first say, nothing gets better without criticism… But seriously, has nobody every heard the saying “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar”? There are a lot of legitimate complaints, but nearly all of those are sullied by being delivered like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum.

Just curious… but why?

Dude, there’s probably allot of passive toxicity inside of the studio aswell… Do you really think the developers are agreeing to this. They get paid to work there and they want to do amazing stuff. And get to do bloodsprays and emotes.
