I’ve contacted TC 6 days ago regarding a problem to do with rockstar x gears of war promotional content. I paid for 6 cans, redeemed the codes on the rockstar site, linked my Microsoft account and redeemed them again on their website, as is due process, and have not received my items in game. I’ve contact TC support, looked online for others having this problem, and I’m not sure if I’m the 1%, but the fact TC player support haven’t even contacted me saying ‘were overwhelmingly busy and may take longer to review this request’, which I would be fine with, is unbelievable, so now I’ve spent £5.85 on energy drinks which I’ve given away, because I personally dislike energy drinks, and no in game content to show for it. What an absolute shambles.
I think it should be handled through microsoft and not TC seeing as you redeem the code through them. Try microsoft support and see if the content is at least tied to your account.
Microsoft redirects you too TC when dealing with gears of war 5, I’m a steam user. If you do know an alternate site I can use to contact anyone to help, could you please share the link? It’s definitely linked to my account as I’ve gone to my order history and every pack is on there, and marked completed, which I’ve sent in my support ticket to TC. Cant believe how unbelievably slow support for basically - microtransactions - are considering this is TC main source of driving profit, post purchase of the title.
It’s an issue with the Steam version and Windows version not communicating properly. I had the same exact issue with my Ice Kait skin, and the Graffiti Gnasher. The only known work around is to install the Windows Store version and sign into the game from there, then exit and sign back into the Steam version. Everything should appear at that point.
Ridiculous, I know, but that’s all I could find to get my codes working. Luckily, they’re still offering the Game Pass deal, so it only cost $2. Still, paying to unlock something you already paid for is ridiculous in and of itself.
So if I get game pass then dl and login it should appear? I’ll take anything at this point
You have to download the Windows Store version of the game, log into your account in that, and it should work. I actually had to restart the Windows Version before my skins appeared after I first opened it when the download finished.

Can confirm that using the windows store version on steam works. Thanks to @KeeganBadger for the info, since TC doesn’t want to share that their game is broken and requires extra money to fix! @TTVYourDripping I didnt mess anything up, TC did, don’t be ignorant when you have no idea what your actually talking about.
Nah, and you can go check all the other threads with the exact same issue on the Steam version.
The Rockstar Gears can didn’t even made it to Quebec. First time it happen. They where there for Gears 4, and all promotions for Halo or COD games were available too. Now i don’t mind it “that much” but i wish i could had got the cans even as just “memories purpose” (still have the ones from Gears 4)
Im not a fan of standard rockstar drinks (used to love some of their flavors but those didn’t get Gears stuff) and nowadays i don’t drink energy drinks anymore (they are very bad for health/weight) but i would had made an exeption for Gears lol
So you download the windows 10 store version then it unlocks your paid dlc then log out and load the game on steam and it appears in the steam version?
