Remove splash screens from Series X|S and PC boot sequence

We get it, it’s a Xbox Game Studios game. *ice cracks
We get it, it uses Unreal Engine. *more ice cracks
It uses Dolby Atmos, and…IT’S MADE BY THE COALITION! WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?!

The purpose of these splash screens is to hide loading. Developers for decades have used these loads for shameless brand placement to pad out the wait times. This made sense on the Xbox One consoles with slow harddrives. We now have SSDs capable of several gigabytes per second, yet we have 25 seconds of splash screens, followed by an additional 30 seconds of a gear icon spinning before the menu is available. On a solid state drive!

Do you really need to self advertise that TC and Xbox Studios made the game? Do we really need to know it uses Dolby Atmos every time we boot? Are they paying you royalties every time we see the Unreal logo? Just boot the game.

“But wait, what about Quick Resume on Series consoles??” - not supported in Gears 5. We have to go thru a minute of boot every time we want to play.

Its the same for fast NVME drives on PC and I would LOVE to skip this.

Every MS game does this even on pc with top tiers SSDs, Guess is something that we will never be able to change since its probably some corporation thing.

Yeah, at least shorten the sequence for those with NVMe drives.

Gear fans will cry about almost anything Gears related.
