I play PC so I’m not sure how the aim assist works in gears, I know there was bullet magnification in previous games, does this new aim assist lock on to your targets?? When playing KOTH in ranked it’s nearly impossible to not get shot, but in ranked execution, it’s way easier to avoid shots. I saw it’s disabled in exe & esc,. Crazy how noticeable it is.
Agreed! Im tired of getting killed around corners and in cover. Even the killcam shows them missing
The aim assist is the bullet magnetism. And gears 5 aim assist is literally turned on high so its even easier to hit people.

Good, point, but then they have to fix the ping fluctuations as well. you can not have skilled players ping between 150 to 250 and other players as low as 5 to 12.
You have to level the playing field across the board if you want the competitive forum.
In addition they could also limit lower ranks to playing 100% within there rank until the earn the level.
On big problem is the player base. the numbers show the biggest part of the population is in the lower ranks, so its catch 22. Remove the stuff the helps them and hurts you and you have no population for games or Skilled players will not just beat up on lower ranks and they will quit playing.
No sure there is a win scenario here.
I too would love for this to happen. Just like yall are doing a test run for Execution, test how people like the removal of aim assist in all ranked modes. Please and thank you

I think most people just want it removed from the gnasher. I’ve seen some clips on how beneficial the aim assist is when it comes to connecting shots with the gnasher
remove it entirely, ive seen snipers aim for the stomach and get headshots

Why would this be in a competitive mode? Its way too easy to get sniped because you don’t even have to be aiming completely at their head. No skill at all is needed.

Accuracy is impossible to have with cross play. So this is what ya get almost aimed at your head kills.
if you need aim assist to hit your target you shouldn’t be playing

I totally agree with you about the elimination stuff but some people will totally get mad if somebody get their kill stolen. I mean i played a lot of competitve on 4 and could care less about getting my downs stolen from me because this is a team effort and you still got the pounts for the damage you have done. I grater win then having 30 eliminations which in reality I had maybe 15 kills.

I had a good player in Gears 4 but i have big difficulties with the gears 5 multiplayer gameplay.
They did so much with improving kill cam, numbers, etc because players didn’t like to die without knowing why. They wanted it to feel well and like “Oh I did because he gave me headshot”. And now they add something where you can die even when the any missed every shot? And you can perfectly see it in the kill cam. I had situations like when an enemy shot two shots above my head with Embar and I died. And I could watch this again in the kill cam. Does TC really think that this feels like a good experience to anyone? Do this in Arcade, maybe in Quickplay, but get rid of this ridiculous feature in Ranked. It makes a well game feel just bad and making me not wanting to play it.
The difference is this isn’t first person. It’s third. It is different and gears doesn’t need it.
Yeah I’ve had BS like that. Only a handful of sniper shots against me were actually on my head. Someone has made a video showing the size of the head hitbox…it’s huge!
wouldnt say hitbox, its the aim assist, ive seen killcams where the guy shoots me in the pelvis and it says headshot
Yeah I agree with you on the aim assist. I was just commenting on HighPinLag post. TBH the kill cam is off a lot of the time.
There is an issue with the hitboxes to the head though.
I’ve had people completely miss me and my head is gone. T that aim assist is crazy
