Remapping controls for marking enemies

I’ve found that im wearing out the life of my controllers from all the L3 clicking while moving to mark enemies. im starting to feel it in my new controller as well and tried remapping it to the Y button but it brings the crouch over as well. is there any way to only bring the marking enemies over to Y, but keep the crouching to L3?

Try some different control schemes to see if you find something you like. I’m using classic alt instead of default. I think tournament is another option.

But other than that, no I don’t think you can split the two functions from a single button.

For example, many people including myself accidentally press R3 during combat and that brings up the emote menu. We worked around this by re-mapping R3 to Y. But the problem is that R3 is also the zoom function for Longshot so that gets moved over to Y as well.

Elite controllers are good for stuff like this. The paddles open up a ton of options.

ya that menu thing messed me up more than a few times for sure

Until the paddles can be mapped to their own separate inputs not jus another button on the pad the elite will always be gimped imo

I use the same, I only swapped LB and A which makes it pretty much identical to tournament alt from 4… only problem that can still be awkward at times is smashing LB instead of A when trying to self-revive.

On pc they can…

RE-WASD software. Remaps paddles beyond the normal Xbox config. Can do macros (though I don’t use it for that). Definitely check it out. I use it for ergonomics because I like running a controller and mouse (which is weird I know but it helps with discomfort).

I’m sh*ting myself tbh, never build a rig before, my flatmates always done my upgrading for me but he’s refusing to touch this stuff cuz he’d feel bad if he killed something.

Rams not arriving till friday anyhow so a few days of watch Linus build multiple rigs is in order I think

They are sooo easy now compared to when I started about 20 years ago. I build one every 3 or 4 years. The hardest part is keeping up with the new tech. When I wanted to get up to date with the current gen tech a year and a half ago, @GhostofDelta2 was a massive help. He’s very knowledgeable. If you have any, “___ isn’t working” questions feel free to hit me up.

Yea after much research the benefits of water really seems not worth the extra time/money/risk/effort as far as I could tell, all confirmations of that welcome :+1:

It depends. But nothing wrong with either so long as its sufficient.
