I’m sure you are aware but if you appear offline while playing Gears 5 you are still viable, to friends playing Gears 5. anyway, on xbox at least.

Maybe it is only when you have them as favourite? That would make sense as if I’m on some other app and a “Gears” friend I have as fav goes online I get the pop up notification , but only fav players, not anyone else.?
Maybe I’ll try and test this theory in the next day or 2

It seems to be like this when someone changes their profile to show offline. But when they go to privacy and settings and show offline from there, then it won’t show in-game Social tab.

Played with a random who needed to be carried in Escape today. I think his name was @ll_R_E_D_l or something, I’ve seen him around the forums getting into fights with strangers
