It was nice while it lasted. The only reason I had 50 was because classes and cards were already maxed.

OK, from what everyone has said so far there might be more re ups in the futureā¦
So someone manages to infiltrate the HQ and change the XP curve and post it on Twitter 
or someone got drunk at the office.

Looks alittle too drastic of a change. Think they couldāve lowered it by a lot, but not this much. .TBH max rank should be unachieveable by a very very large percent of the player base.
Anyone else feel this way?

Completely agree. Getting to max rank is a mountain everyone has the chance to climb but not everyone makes the summit.

Thats how Im reading it too. Shouldnt complain but maybe its a bit extreme. Like everyone is gonna be 50 if that`s the case.lol.

I dunno man, itās not really a grind to me ranking up, itās just something that comes with playing the game that I enjoy, Iām not aiming for a particular prestige just going with the flow.
Iād certainly be a lot more bored if I wasnāt getting any xp and Iād max levelled with a good year or 2 left until GOW6
See how drastic the changes are anyway if peopleās ranks are flying up theyāll have to do something to extend it, theyāll have to.

Again, if this is gonna be the case for the new re ups, itās very coincidental with gears 5 being free with gold and newbies coming in seeing themselves re up rather quickly. Seems like another shot to try and get new players while leaving the players that have been grinding for over a year the shaft.

It seems any time theres a possibility of an influx of new players, they make some radical change to the game.

Anyone remember a spoof video doing the rounds a few years ago, where a CoD-style shooter character levels up about 30 times whilst doing almost nothing in a game? ā¦ there was a comedy voice-over reading the level names like āSuper Mega Colonel Soldier - to the MAXā etcā¦ it was done to openly mock the CoD community and their easy-to-obtain prestiges.
Well, this incoming ReUp XP adjustment is going to make that a reality for Gears. Not the franchises finest hour, IMHO.

So okay, can someone do the math for me? Iām re up 14 atm so what re up would I be after this update? Hopefully Iāll be at or over re up 20, I want that Heroic Marcusā¦
They should just make the XP at 50 40,000,000. That is a little less than half of what it was before so it would still be a grind but much less so. It would be equal to the middle of 36 which would still be a grind but not a crazy one.

Youād be over reup 45 based on the chart.

Actually scrap that, I just reread the chart and the numbers and the line refers to the amount of XP needed for each level, not the total amount of XP for a reup. Itās still a massive chunk though.

Really wish they would nerf the versus-achievement with the same attitude. This really seems a little overkill. Then again, only 0,06% of the playerbase reached re-up20, and only 0,01% reached 30.

Itās worth keeping in mind those numbers are based off of highest playercount at any given time(unless thereās been a change to that I missed). So the 0.06% is likely based off of most likely the 3 million player number thrown around at launch(and I really, really doubt that it has gone any higher ever)ā¦ albeit that only further illustrates either how few actually bothered with Reups or how absurd the entire grind was to begin with if by now only 1,800-2,400 people have obtained Reup 20 and only 300-600 obtained Reup 30, assuming I didnāt go wrong in my maths anywhere(relatively sure that I havenāt as I double checked a few times and 180,000 would be 6% of 3 million).
Still thinking halving it wouldāve been good enough. Though if they plan on adding more Reups they can leave 1-50 as it is.
How close were you to 50 man? Like 4 or 3 re-ups away?
7 away. A comfortable place since I am most likely going to jump to 50 if I am anywhere in the 40s.

Oh you will definitely be 50 tomorrow. If the graph is too be trusted, it looks like anyone that is re-up 30 or higher (maybe even less) will now be 50.
A little drastic of a change if you ask me. The graph makes it look like the new max re-up XP is only maybe a 1/5 of what it used to be.
