I’m so sick of playing against ■■■■■■■■ who are so much better than me and my team. Rank is not fun in the slightest. The only reason I’m playing is to finish my ■■■■■■■ medal tab for King of hill and Escalation. It wouldn’t be so bad if each game didnt take a ■■■■■■■ year to complete.

The expression and the execution that you get for completing the medal. Again it would be so bad if I was ranked appropriately. I’ve lost 4 games in a row. Do you know how long that took almost 2 hours … to lose 4 ■■■■■■■ times…
I understand i dominate and when i lose 1 game it takes like 3 games to make up for it

I read it. Honestly I dont think they have enough people playing rank right now because of all the madness. Which is why they cant fix it, and why we have this problem.

That wouldn’t surprise me. All of my friends have stopped playing. I’m the only one of my group who’s dumb enough to keep torturing myself with this.

I read your post and agree, I took 3 weeks off this game due to its broken ranked system and other issues. I came back this week to see how it is but I’m now running solo because all my friends have quit this game (running solo is ■■■■■■■ awful) I’m getting kills in the high teens and 20’s with maybe MAYBBEEE one other competent person on my team and the other 3 going 2-■■■■■■■ 14. Cant get out of silver when i was diamond or onyx 3 easily in gears 4. ranked is frustrating as hell lately.

I think you have to be a bit dumb to keep playing this game in its current state 
It was fun/bearable when I had a regular 1 or two people to play with, but it’s absolutely miserable in my current situation.
Like sure, I’m still ranking up due to my performance… But I’m extremely competitive when it comes to gears. I HATE losing.
Yet 80% of my games lately are losses. Even carrying the randoms with 18>26 kills isn’t enough. It’s so frustrating to work that hard and still get beat, due to clueless teammates.
I try telling them tactics or tips via text chat, they ignore it. I try using the tactical emotes like “group up, fall back” etc, they ignore it.
What else can you do?

I hear you. I just been playing casual and actually grinding under my wife’s profile just to get her to General. I actually am having fun getting into escape, horde and arcade. Just focusing on the positives the game has to offer and just practicing with weapons, acting silly with executions. I’ll get back to Rank at a later date. I might be in the minority here, since I seen how Gears 4 started and ended I actually have Faith in TC to fix this game. Some of there Jobs are actually on the line if you think about it.

I think it’ll be fixed eventually too. Maybe not the unbalanced matchmaking though.
I used to like horde in 4 as a sniper… But they destroyed the sniper class in 5, so I can’t even enjoy that. Making all the good cards x-ray based was a horrible idea and I really hope they get rid of x-ray entirely.
Explosive headshot used to be a lot of fun.
On the topic, everyone who agrees that the matchmaking is unbalanced needs to start speaking up. Our voices are being drowned out by all the ranking system complaints.
Whilst those are valid complaints, even a fully fixed ranking system isn’t going to be enjoyable if you keep getting put into lobsided matches

Hell, WINNING wouldn’t feel so bad if one bad round didn’t punish you so hard you may as well just quit the match entirely.
Ranked isn’t actually the issues, it’s the matchmaking system behind it.
They’ve still got a ways to go but fundamentally the issue is with trying to get a balance between wait times, ping and level playing.
I agree though I’ve given up on escalation medal because of it.
