Since OP5 released I’ve experienced random freezing at the very instance the game finds a match (right when the queue changes to “Match Created”) particularly in Horde - haven’t experienced it PvP yet - but I haven’t played much of that.
It happens on two separate Windows 10 computers - both running the new 20H2 Windows 10 update. Video drivers are up to date on both computers.
The computers are spec’d as follows:
PC1: Ryzen 3 3300X CPU and a Radeon 5600XT video card.
PC2: Ryzen 7 3700X CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER video card.
In both cases, the Gears 5 exe in the Task Manager must be killed manually - and it says “Suspended” by it.
If there is any other information I can provide, please let me know. Apologies if this should not be posted here, but I didn’t see a “tech support” sub-forum.
Hate to bump this, but it’s now occurring much more frequently than before - and it’s now reproducible.
I can load into the first Horde match fine, but then I WILL crash when trying to load subsequent Horde matches - UNLESS I reboot the game before looking for another Horde match.
EVERY. TIME.
My friend who plays with me on PC has the same issue.
It’s really irritating to have to reboot the game between Horde sessions, given that this game has horrendous startup times even when installed on my nvme SSD.
This isn’t since Operation 5, this is since the game was launched and they don’t care on fix It!
I sent them tickets each time I have this problem, they take too long on reply me or simply don’t reply, besides poor performance, no matter what settings I use:
