This is happening more and more and more often… BLINDING…
When is this going to go?
It feels like none of TC’s developers or testers ever played Ranked ! Definitely not on any level even close to competitive for them to claim this happens so rarely that it’s not a problem…
It happens all the time!!! And it kills CQB gnasher combat!
From personal experience, the omen is fine on the darker maps like exhibit and asylum. On brighter maps like vasgar and icebound it’s blinding due to the increase in brightness and inherent screen shake.
If they got rid of the flash-like and red filter from the center omen it would be much more bearable.
I stopped taking video clips… There are too many…
I get hit, so many times, in close combat, where my screen just turns FULL RED out of nowhere… Any pretense that helps ANYTHING is pure BS… and it makes it almost impossible to react… You don’ t know where you got hit from AND the binding red filter means I can’t even look around to see what’s going on, because all I see is red!
Honestly, a lot of the times when that happens, I think I’m dead/DBNO, so I even stop moving, just to realize, wait, no, I’m still standing…
All I see is a curtain of RED draped across my field of view… This is really stupid…
Limit the display to just the area around the centre screen omen, and it’s fine… (the ice omen is KINDA like that - there is some ice effect around the edges, but it’s mostly in the centre: keep the red as a ring around the centre omen, and it’s fine… Don’t block the view of the whole screen, especially the peripheral vision…
It really makes me think none of them actually played VS at anything beyond the bot-walking level, during testing, if no one though this was going to be idiocy in versus (as opposed to horde/campaign/etc).
You guys with normal vision think its bad, try being even slightly red/green colour blind.
Even with the right colour blind mode on the red is either invisible to me or makes 90% of the screen completely incomprehensible.
We need an option for classic omen (and a much better red /green colour blind mode).
Lol, I have color vision problems too, haha, no normal vision for me 
I donno, maybe THAT’S why hate it so much…
I don’t have any eye issues, never required glasses but with a reddened ring there are specific red team characters that become impossible to see. When I’m locust its not an issue as most COG stand out against the red, but playing against locust i might as well not bother as on some maps as all the red just blends into one.
Until now I’ve been focusing on how much I hate how it renders you blind in the middle of a fight, causing you to die… But I realized last night there is another, related, case where it’s stupid: I fight and I WIN the 1v1, but I am full red and blind , and then I run into another enemy… one I cannot see, because of the red screen… so I die, because I am no Blood Sport Van Damme who can fight blindfolded…
