Question about the books

Im currently about halfway through GoW 2, and just finished reading Aspho Fields. I was wondering if I can read Jacinto’s Remnant without it spoiling too much of the rest of GoW 2?

I mean, i know some stuff will be spoiled, like probably how the game ends, but does it spoil a lot of the smaller details, too?

Someone who has more knowledge hopefully will come along, but the best as I can recall, the books generally are in between games as stories. Doesn’t mean they won’t allude to something, but enjoyable on their own as separate events.

Somewhere on the forums is a timeline of books with the games.

Yeah i know that JR takes place between GoW 2 and 3, I’m wondering how much of 2 is spoiled in the book.

Thanks for that timeline link through. It’ll be very helpful.

Actually, quite a bit of Gears 2 is spoiled. If you really care then you should hold off.
That being said, you should definitely read the next 3 books before playing Gears 3.

Im currently stuck on the big reaver chase near the end, so doesn’t look like I’ll be finishing Gears 2 at any point before 2045.

Keep trying. You’ll get there, and it will be worth the effort.

It spoils the major, emotionally impacting moments throughout the campaign. Not just the ending.

If you’re still stuck on this, would you like tips? There are a few weird things about the design of that level which can trip people up.
