It really would be good to maybe be able to label players as incompetent or toxic and then optionally go into matchmaking filtering those sorts out.
It may need to be optional if there aren’t enough players and you’ve got enough good players that you could maybe endure that guy that keeps running out and getting killed as long as he does a little something and deposites energy.
It may be an existential discussion to assess whether the guy playing Fahz that takes Keegan’s boomshot off of a locker and empties it is toxic vs incompetent but if we can change on demand then we could correct our mistakes once we know better.

We’ve been asking for those features since Xbox Live launched in the early 2000’s. I don’t think it will ever happen.

I thought I remembered having something close in Halo 2.

I skipped 2, played it after 3’s launch. At least one game had it.

This is what we get for asking Faction leaders to speak mid-round.

-being able to scrap cards AND useless skins
-being able to skip the Escape-Intro entirely
-being able to remote-detonate the Venom

and most importantly; No char below lv18 allowed for Master.

They gave us Faction Leaders.

They took away Faction loadouts in return.

Interesting. Simple things. I agree. Gears 5’s menu was unappealing to me from the very beginning. You can’t even do something as simple as select a character. It’s a mess.

Gears of War 3 had most of those on your list and to this day had the very best system for all stats and progress tracking.

Yes 100times to #10. That annoys me more than anything.

The “press A to leave or press X to leave with your party” prompt will not go away even when the next match begins so roadie running immediately kicks you out of the match.

I dont understand a lot of their design choices in the menu.
Example: in ranked you almost cant see there is another game mode on the right.

Everything is big and large.
things dont fit…

During loading of lobby etc. sometimes things overlap.
Wierd designs.

That’s just a straight bug, not a design choice.

And if it is, man it must be hard to read in Canada.

Indeed. Such a downgrade from Gears 4, which actually had a perfect customisation menu.

Having to go through multiple menus to change ONE weapon skin is such a chore.

Simplicity is key. Just another example of how TC don’t have a clue about game design. It’s no surprise Rod gave up, ran away and tried to forget Gears 5 happened.

I’m fairly certain tc has not once tested out the splitscreen functionality in the game. Lots of obvious problems that needs fixing. For example player 2 can’t reup, buy from the store or receive login bonuses. I’m tired of having to quit and restart the game with my gf’s account and then restart back to mine every time she reaches level 100 or wants to claim a login bonus.

What about an indicator to the player that you are currently speaking in voice chat? You have the scoreboard & speaker icon above your head but no indicator like how valve games do, that would insanely nice.

I think that option exists. Check the menus.

Meh, point still stands. They clearly didn’t realise they actually had it right when they “played it safe” and actually made it 10x worse when they implemented their new and improved design…
