Indeed. Such a downgrade from Gears 4, which actually had a perfect customisation menu.
Having to go through multiple menus to change ONE weapon skin is such a chore.
Simplicity is key. Just another example of how TC don’t have a clue about game design. It’s no surprise Rod gave up, ran away and tried to forget Gears 5 happened.
I’m fairly certain tc has not once tested out the splitscreen functionality in the game. Lots of obvious problems that needs fixing. For example player 2 can’t reup, buy from the store or receive login bonuses. I’m tired of having to quit and restart the game with my gf’s account and then restart back to mine every time she reaches level 100 or wants to claim a login bonus.
What about an indicator to the player that you are currently speaking in voice chat? You have the scoreboard & speaker icon above your head but no indicator like how valve games do, that would insanely nice.

I think another awesome thing would be is damage taken stat in horde! That would be really cool I think.
Having the ability to separate the melee button from “mantle while running”. In PVE the mantle is always preferences which is super annoying. Ryan mentioned at launch this preference was a bug, still isn’t fixed.
This can be annoying sometimes but it’s not game breaking. would be nice though if they did something about this though
It comes close to it for the way I play (especially with Cole). Insane that it hasn’t been fixed after 7 months.

For Escape: When someone enters your game and they appear in the pod they show…
Additionally they should also add…
Then when you host your own custom lobbies you can kick people that try to sneak in with their low level characters.
I’ve had a sudden thought of another QOL addition;
I’ve found recently, mainly for Horde/Escape I get screwed by the Active effect timer (I use a lot of Mac’s Bleeding Boltok ability) where the ability disables and I wasn’t made aware of it because there’s no clear indicator with the ammo in one corner and all the action in the center of the screen.
That is a bloody good idea mate.

Ya that 2nd would be good too, cause you don’t know/remember a lot of times… like I don’t know what any of the new guns for 5 do while I’m only assuming the others repeat 4, except for Gnasher obviously. Like I remembered on 4 Drop’s active made it explode faster and also a slightly bigger blast radius. Torque allowed for an instant stick instead of bouncing off the enemy. Boom I think was slightly bigger blast radius, rest I think were mainly damage or fire rate.
GEARS 5 Quality of life IMPROVEMENTS:
change Lancer GL to FREEDOM LANCER = The community will appreciate the change.
Bring back all matte black skins into the store.

Yes this would make everybody happy except people getting carried by JD when he actually get’s balanced properly. He should spawn in with a GL, The bleed needs to go though, it’s too much.
