PvE is starting to be as toxic as PvP

Kait got sorta nerfed a couple months back but she’s still very strong in Horde. I find her to be much more powerful in Escape though, since execution rules aren’t in effect and enemies can just bleed to death. But dude, Blood Resonance and Laceration with Gnasher Proficiency all at level 6, then you add in an Overkill? She’s literally the bleed goddess. Her biggest weakness in Horde is when you get into the later waves (30+) and everything turns into a long range shootout. She then has to transform from a shotgunner to a cloaked stealth killer. But she’s still incredibly valuable.

One of the guys here did some testing on Lahni’s bleed on Master difficulty and found that the extra bleed is pretty small with the Brawler card equipped compared to without it. I recall the difference in time it takes to bleed out an enemy was about half a second when used on Elite variants. I expect the difference is larger for big enemies, but their advice was basically Brawler isn’t as important unless you absolutely need the enemy to die straight away without relying on bleed, like Juvies on the Warren.

I agree, I hardly ever use Brawler as the 5th card with her unless it’s a hive like Ice Queen or The End where the ultimate is so short. Typically always use Venom Blade, Venom Resistance, Thrill of the Hunt, Short Range Ballistic Damage Reduction, and Shock Chain.

I’ll switch out Shock Chain for Brawler on Ice Queen and The End (and I think there’s a couple of other hives with the Shorter Ultimate mutator).

Maybe if the perks were more efficient at lower levels that could help with the resource hogging. I recently started leveling up my Kegan and thought the same thing. It’s either level 10 or a no go with his ultimate. But I’d hate for him to be so OP that it takes away from the fun of the game. Lol it’s a hard middle ground we’re asking for though. In one sense we’re asking for him to be useful for less energy but then he becomes too strong extremely fast.

He’s not OP, he’s use very useful; he is a character who is kinda pointless, offensively, outside of his ultimate with a boom or salvo… he definitely makes a lot of noise, but without damage boost on his explosives, only with a modest bleed, he is good once you level up his perk, but he’s not OP… Not even close…

Ohhh, and in case you don’t nkow, if you’re just leveleling him up: the card which gives you bigger active reload bar - at level 5 that card removed the need to reload during ultimate, so your boomshot turns into a fully automatic launcher like the salvo, and at level 6 those fully auto rounds become active. So at level 6 you are shooting your boomshot non-stop with active rounds, and do about 375,000 damage in under 30 seconds:

25 active boomshot rounds in 30 seconds, about 15,000 damage each (including bleed).

And if salvo is your weapon of choice, hehe,it’s fun too:

I agree…oh annnnd “EZ”

Did I do it right?

You should read this thread. One of the devs replied and explained a little more in detail what changed. The Venom Res apparently was only a typ and has always been 32%

Thanks for the link. I had heard that Michael Shannon addressed the Lahni and Mac cards right after the update. She just feels so much weaker than she use to be. maybe it’s just me.

I see what I said and what I mean my was I’d hate for him to become OP lol. He’s definitely not a top character though.

That’s some good insight thank you!! I’m just making my way through the list of characters trying to get them all to 18. He just happened to be next and so far like you said he has his moments but other than that he’s really just a noise maker. Well on horde. I haven’t used him any on escape.

I have a maxed out Marcus and it feels like cheat codes.

Short Range doesn’t give Melee res anymore ( should have been re-introduced 1 1/2 weeks ago), TotH had a permanent 30% damage res part as well that wasn’t intended and now only works with a bleeding enemy nearby.

The buff could make her good again, but I guess we won’t know for another 1 month or so.

Played using Lahni quite a bit last night. Have to be so much more strategic about getting close for the first melee with the knife. Wasn’t too bad once I got use to it. Seems it takes a bit over a second for Thrill to kick in now. Almost need to strike, find safety and get back to meleeing all in the same set of moves. I doubt we’ll see any changes to her until OP5.
