Some people do genuinely want Gears on other platforms, but realistically I don’t see this happening while MS owns the IP.

Of course they do but it won’t happen. Basically Halo and Gears is MS flagship titles. They need those to keep xbox relevant somewhat. You send Gears or Halo to PS, good bye xbox.

It will be Christmas again, every year we get these people that never played Gears before and go mental. It happened when Gears of War 4 became Free on Gold. Damn that was painful.

Imagine PS players getting to grips with Gears for the first time, that is alot of new players at the same time. It will not be painful, it will be torture.
If this were to ever happen, it might be a case of put down your Pad and leave, Gears is finished. (Total exaggeration there, or is it).

So many things wrong with this post.

  1. Console exclusives (Or MS exclusives in this case) are a necessary evil. Without them people would only buy the most powerful system.

  2. MS and Sony are competitors. You won’t see Halo or Gears of War on a Playstation just like you won’t see God of War or Horizon zero dawn on Xbox.

  3. Even if this wasn’t a ridiculous idea, why would they bring Gears of War 4 and 5 to PS at the end of this console generation? The Series X and PS5 are only 4 months out.

It’s all about money. Exclusives sell the system. Tbh, that’s why I got a PS4 over the Xbox One initially (got the latter once it was on sale). PS4 has a ton of great exclusives that give it an edge over Xbox. If the games were no longer exclusives, I’d say Xbox has the edge with the overall better hardware.

For me Xbox has the better multiplayer exclusives while Playstation has the better Single Player. Id rather get the multiplayer first then the single but thats me

I wouldn’t mind if it came to Playstation too. The game matters not the console. BUT if it did they need to make it cross platform.
