Downloaded. Fired up the game, went online. Buttons were changed. Went over to someone expecting a gnasher battle, guy one shorted me like the sawned off, respawned, saw another guy, went over expecting a gnasher battle. Yet again I was one shotted like the sawned off… quit and went to campaign. Buttons had been changed, game didn’t feel like gears. Uninstalled the game and now on this forum wondering if they will listen to people and just make gears instead of some stupid cash grabbing junk for teenagers. I highly doubt it though. This has been going on since that sawned off. Just put it back to how it was in gears 2, with gears 3 gameplay and there you go, the perfect gears. Don’t change what wasn’t broken in the first place

Every negative thread on here explains why I quit. Tuning, high pings, garbage horde decisions, lack of content, no re ups displayed in lobby make it pointless to re up or rank up, flash grenades, all weapons are too powerful, lack of maps, lack of acknowledgement, completely atrocious MXT.

I have been having a hard time getting in to Gears 5 Horde, because of the Energy situation. It takes far too long to save enough to build, making my role as an Engineer rather boring. This is made even worse by people not depositing Energy. And the reason for this is The Coalition stupid beyond belief idea to use Energy to upgrade personal skills. Skills should be earned by Experience, not by Energy.

This game is for casual gamers. That’s why gears fans are leaving. They left after gears 3. Casual gamers played gears 4, and now 5. Once a new game comes out casual gamers will completely leave and the game will be completely dead. Until they make a game that resembles gears 2 and gears 3 without that stupid sawed off and retro for CASUAL GAMERS then I’m out. It’s all about money now. It’s sad and pathetic. More to life than money. It should be a passion to please your fans, not a cash grabbing scheme. And last but not least, there is no adrenalin rush in this game. Gears 1-3 gave you that rush, everyone knows what it does to you and knows that feeling, because it’s adrenalin pumping round your body. But it can’t and won’t happen in a game made for casual gamers. They tried to split the community up in gears 3, by adding different playlist for different skill based and weapons so yet again casual gamers could play. That didn’t work. So now they just made it for casual gamers completely. It’s trash. They have made a game so anyone can pick up the controller and play. Wrong move. It took me years and I mean years to get at the skill level I’m at. Gears was something to master. Not for casual gamers to pick up a controller and jump right in. I’ll be waiting for gears 6 to see if they can make it right. I hope one day it will be put back to how it was. it’s not about people Don’t like change or new things. It’s about what this game once was and could be. It’s now a casual gamers go to game when bored

Or maybe they intended all along to make a game for casual gamers. But but gears 1-2 was too difficult, and now they have made what they want, a game for casual gamers. And if you look at what had happened since gears 3 that’s the most likely thing that has happened.
More weapons should be in the meta not less, including the retro and sawed off. taking ways to engage players out of the game caters to casual game play. needed to be better balance thou.

That would honestly bring me back. Just too much chaos too little time to communicate with my team to figure out where the other team is coming from before its flash bang hell and next thing you know they’re everywhere.

When rod liked that toxic cry babies tweet…it summed up perfectly why tc n rod ect…simply dont give a toss about the gears community in general…games been out for wks not days n its a mess…with no sign of changes/improvement coming either for horde or verses…but the store is open and working just fine

I’ve got a feeling it’s Microsoft pushing this no disc system. Without micro transactions they wouldn’t earn any money. Stupid thing is I was one of the people who bought the gears 3 epic edition. Can’t remember how much I paid. But if gears was gears again I would pay £200 for this game on a disc. No need for micro transactions as they will make major cash. I pre ordered that epic edition and stood outside game queuing up at 10pm waiting till midnight to get my hands on it. After years of mastering gears 2 execution. Only to find it had been aimed at a different market, the casual gamer market. I became so good at gears 3 I was in top 100 public leader board in tdm. That’s how much I played it. Gears 5 is just trash. Rod is aiming for a different market, the fortnight kind of market. Money money money. I hope he reads this and understands what gears fans actually were and what we want. Rod, I stood outside a shop at midnight when I had work in 6 hours to get my hands on gears 3, now I don’t even want to play your game. It sucks. Take it like a man, understand what we actually want, and make it and forget about money and bring this game back to being EPIC once again!!! Rant over!!!

I haven’t had many issues on Versus beyond quitters, but Horde mode is a gigantic mess with restrictive gameplay with what character to even play as, 8 different difficulties (hurting matchmaking), Ironman/Survivor mode on INTERMEDIATE, and broken custom lobbies.
I can’t join any games in the browser, I have no clue why and there’s no error code listed for it.
I have to play on beginner to guarantee 1-50 matches if I’m even lucky to have one other player by the end of it and level every character uo just to stand a chance at the higher difficulties and not waste ammo on spongey enemies.

They do with the ridiculous aim assist currently on console. They can slaughter people with that target tracking aim bot lite with their controllers right now.

Some of them worked on judgment only IIRC (not rod) and I don’t class that as working on previous gears games.

I know Ryan the head of MP has. There are others but it’s been many years since they announced the studio and the devs they brought in and don’t remember names.

I quit because of the crappy horde decisions, I quit because theres so little to grind for let alone worthwhile stuff, I quit because Shadowkeep came out and its far better than Gears 5, I quit because of the tiny ■■■ roster, I quit because it’s literally a watered down version of Gears 4 just prettier and with a higher fps.
