I never heard of that streamer guy either, but itâs not really my thing.
OT, I havenât been on in 3 days. Real life has been getting in the way so I probably wonât have a chance to get back on till TU1.5 hits. But none of my friends are playing atm.
I think I also read something about PVE gnasher being removed from PVP or something. Curious to see what that is about.
I had way more fun playing⌠Tembo the Badass Elephant.
Which is one of the free Xbox Gold games this month.
I rarely even play platform games too.

The delay happens when coming out of roadie running or bouncing off of a wall, I canât seem to fire right away or my gun doesnât fire at all and wall bouncing just gets me killed due to my gun not shooting. It hinders my play style a lot. But Iâm trying to adjust., Iâve been doing okay just want the old fluid feel.
Yeah, i thought it was way way worse in Gears 4 in terms of that. I donât feel it at all here in 5. Nothing like 3 and UE though.
It was worse in 4. Thatâs probably why I quit that game after a month lol.
Really? See, there seems to be conflicting views on that. I could swear that it was clearly worse in 4 lol. I found myself angrily pressing down the right trigger and asking, âWhere is my shot?â

Tbh with you, I played the online on 4 for about a month and couldnât stand it, I played horde with friends every now and then but didnât really touch GoW 4 because I hated how it felt.
Gears 5 is tolerable but I wish theyâd just listen and they could save the game.
I quit Gears 5 for a few weeks and Iâve been hopping on here and there since. Honestly, I appreciate the polished campaign and the addition of some of the other game modes. Iâm happy they finally brought back Gnasher KOTH.
But here are the big issues to me:

Phantom Shots & Glitchy Gameplay, People donât even have to have their aiming reticle properly lined up to get one shot kills. This is just noob catering to the highest extent, not that it doesnât work to the benefit of experienced players, but it just shouldnât be in a game like Gears.

Lack of Maps, they couldâve at least supplemented the map list with some old maps from Gears 2, 3 and 4 so the playlist didnât get so boring.

The Reward System, this is so disappointing because Gears 4 Loot/Reward System was Soooo much better. And TC acted like they doing a huge service to the fans by âgetting rid of loot boxesâ but I think they forgot that the crates in Gears 4 didnât cost anything. It was awesome to have the possibility after each match to possibly get new weapon and character skins, that is now gone.
And instead we have a terrible Fortnite clone reward system. Fortnite is a FREE game, you spend 10 bucks for battle pass each season and you get see the 100+ rewards you are going to get as you level up. Gears 5 is already a 50-60 dollar game and now they want us to spend 10 bucks for a Character Skin, 5 Bucks for a weapon skin? Thatâs complete and total B.S. on TCâs part.
- Tour of Duty, some people who enjoy the various game modes might enjoy Tour of Duty. But for someone like me, itâs terrible. When I get a Gears Game I like to dabble in the Campaign and other game modes at my own pace. And some of them I just plain out donât like, like Escape and Horde. Now, I know a lot of people like Horde, but itâs never been my cup of tea. I like to dabble in the campaign over time until I eventually complete it, but majority of my time is spent on Ranked modes, KOTH, Deathmatch, Guardian, Execution. You used to be able to unlock new character and weapon skins by playing online ranked, but now I have to fulfill the Tour of duty requirements to unlock those things, which means I have to spend significant time playing game modes I donât like and donât want to play, which sucks. To this day, after logging over 100 hours easily, I have only completed 2 tour of duty missions because I just donât like those game modes and I donât want to be forced to play them!
I donât know. To me, TC really screwed over their long time fans. Gears 5 is a significant regression in multiple areas from Gears 4, 3 and 2. So, Iâm pretty disappointed, and thatâs why I stopped playing and have been playing less. Iâm still going to keep my eye out for updates and see if they fix some of this non-sense. But one month in, Iâm severely disappointed in this game.

I have to suffer 230ish most days here. only dip into ranked for the weekly win. doesnât seem to matter for horde that much.

Yeah, itâs pretty quiet. I live in Scotland, I updated yesterday to see what the totems were, tried to get an arcade quick match and it took 3 minutes plus to get a game, I played against the same players again. I backed out after the match and tried again, switched off at 3 minutes searching.

Well for me . . .main thing that happened is FPS tanking after the recent update so I might be forced to quit GoW 5 if I canât fix it on my end

the connection is so horrible in this game. if i switch from versus to horde i see the difference in movement and how smooth it can be .
sick of having to be pin point accurate to get a kill when my opposition can shoot anywhere and get a kill. seems to me low ping means less aim assist or less Benefit of a doubt.
tried to play the medal system and play all modes but at this point and 5 games into the series its the connection problems i cant handle. high pings still ruin a match and just make it not fun.
thats probably why the playerbase declines.

E X A C T L Y⌠why do they keep nerfing KoTH because casual gamers complain its too hard? Damn do i miss annexâŚMy issue with gears 4 and 5 is that they just arent even half as fun as gears 1-3. Annex was always the best game mode, back then i loved to play execution and guardian etc as well⌠nowadays all game modes but KoTH are boring and getting the chance to play this game mode outside of rank seems near impossible.
I play today and see that its nerfed to 1 round of 180⌠WHERES THE COMEBACK ROUND? like seriously TC are not the developers to be in control of this game. Gears 4 was a flop in my opinion which was constantly chopped and changed to suit small groups of people.
Gears 5 will die just like 4 did.
