And this is the root of the issue. When people stop spending their money on MTX en masse thatās when prices will change, but until then, they wonāt. And MTX wonāt go anywhere either until more people are educated on whatās actually going on.

I had a 10 minute wait earlier today just to play king of the hill.
I was playing solo and only in the silver ranks. Thatās pretty bad.

If the game your defending is that good why is the player base almost none existent almost a month of release? You saying that all those that have valid reasons to not play this game are just making these things up or being dramatic for the fun of it? Thereās also no excuse to have such a small character selection specially when some have been seen in trailers.

Serious question here, but where are you guys seeing the data that the player base is āalmost nonexistentā? If itās Steam, we all know PC players have always been a tiny fraction of the Gears population, so the decline of Steamās playerbase is of almost no consequence (no offense PC Gearheads).
Donāt get me wrong, Iām sure that a lot of players started playing this game through Gamepass and then havenāt renewed their subscriptions due to various reasons, but the Gearsā population has never been that big to begin with and most games lose a big portion of their playerbase during the first couple of months after release.
The game pass should last for 2 months if I remember correctly? Depending what deal you got I guess and loads of places tbh, thereās even a forum on here talking about it. I agree gears hasnāt been that big compared to games like cod or battlefield, but itās been big enough and usually in the first month of a new release thereās usually enough content to keep you occupied but not with this one, no surprise if it did go into decline, specially with the amount of bugs and eu servers being Wack and the so many other problems people have pointed out, itās meant to be a triple A game to me it doesnāt live up to that standard donāt get me wrong I do enjoy the gameplay and when they fix the servers and balance the gameplay and add more content to earn then I reckon it would be a class game to play, but that all wonāt be intill itās to late. I mean the new call of duty already looks like itās gonna be a hit and if it does their gonna need a reason to still play this. I guess we just gotta be patient

So by your logic because you donāt like the game and the other complainers donāt like the game then itās dead? People have a funny definition of dead. Everybody saying the game is dead has no actual numbers to point to they just go by steam numbers which is stupid in of itself. Iāve seen some people say I going back to 3 or UE people still play them! But those games arenāt dead right? Only the ones the games the whiners donāt like right now. Or is it f game doesnāt eclipse the player base from the previous game itās dead? Well then the game had been been dead since 3 and cod has been dead since mw3 by that logic.
Speaking of cod can I just say how hilarious you and other people have said omg the cod is coming out they gotta step it up. If cod can pull you away you away donāt complain about micro transactions you n the game. Not you specifically but other people. Because unlike gears where the micro transactions are purely cosmetic cod will but brand new guns in their lootboxes. You know things that actually impact gameplay?
I donāt know when content meant how many character skins there are in a game. Would I be mad at more characters in there? Of course not. But Iām also not gonna throw a tantrum because they donāt have the character I want in the game the moment I demand it. I play for more than how I can chose to play dress up. Plus they said they are adding more characters as of this month and it was met with ābut I donāt wanna wait until later to play them I want them in here NOW!!!ā This is why you guys get called childish and entitled.

If your happy getting drip fed characters that should of been in the game from the start then your a bigger mug than I originally thought lmao, the character roster is too small for a months wait every other gears had most characters from the campaign at release even gears 4. Itās good to have a variety to choose from but when they purposely cut content from the game to then drop feed it to us later? I can see why people are mad there not childish eitherš¤·š½āāļø

Hmmm well the fact that you can go on and get into games says that itās not dead lol. Or the face weāve still got children crying everyday over the game days itās not dead. Donāt see people crying over judgement anymore I wonder why 
You gotta use your head buddy. A dead game is a game when you try to get into a multiplayer match and you cannot because nobody is playing. Or you have to wait hours to get one match. For example try getting into a game of MAG, Killzone 3, splinter cell chaos theory etc and tell me how that goes for you. A game isnāt dead because you donāt like it

The vast majority of gamers for any game arenāt on forums is not indicative of the entire player base just a small group within it. Or to put it simply, take a step outside the world is much bigger than what you see on your timeline or fav forum.
You do realize 3 cut content to drip feed it to you later right? Thatās why they had map packs and a season pass. 2 did the same thing. People act like thereās 3 characters. Gears 2 had 10 cog players you could play as. Excluding the halo characters and Sarah Connor you have 8. And seeing as how they will continuously add characters in the game when itās all said and done itās hard to say how big the roster will be. Iād rather have content to get every month over having it all in a week. Again this is why you people are childish you have no patience. You want every character unlocked by lvl 100 like in gears 2 and youāll cry and scream if you have to wait a few weeks omg the horror.

You take the word dead so literal Iām just saying it seems pretty low on player count and weird iv seen people saying it took a while to get into games from time to time, weird. Like I said in my other reply the games meant to a triple A it doesnāt seem to be up to that standard atm. People are allowed to complain yanoe? Thatās how studios get there feedback itās silly to try an dismiss that I agree with you some people can be dramatic about things like saying itās really bad and that cos like I said for the most part I like the game just too many issues right now to play it. And no one talks about judgment because thereās no need too it shouldnāt even existedā:wink: and that may be the case but there was already a lot of content on 3 on release so players didnāt mind paying the extra for that abit of content cos the price was reasonable too for what you got, every gears has had map packs so itās nothing new.
Gears 2 is an old game? Itās 2019 gears 4 even had more characters and gun skins at release it doesnāt make sense to go backwards like that

For example saying hey I donāt think the content in the ToD is good hereās what Iād like to see in the next one is different from saying thereās no content in this game itās dead Iām going back to 4. That helps nobody. Just makes people sound like children
Haha true judgement shouldnāt have happened but the point I was making is people truly donāt care about that game so itās not talked about. If gears 5 was really declining people would not be on here everyday complaining theyād have already moved on. And despite how many people say they will we all know they wonāt. Youāre getting more content for free in 5 so I donāt think it should be crucified for not having everything in the game at launch.

Game is dead on Twitch a month after launch. JMotionZ actually stopped playing Gears 5 today mid-stream and he usually has the most viewers during US daytime hours.

I donāt disagree people can be dramatic about it 100% some of there points tho still stand on what there saying. I guess more people need to word how they say things in a less moaning way and in a more nicer an helpful tone like you said. I think people just had high hopes for this one and really wanna see it do well and I think itās cos gears 4 is better atm. Canāt expect people to play a game thatās frustrating them like bug wise and other issues. Just gotta wait it out, the devs know where they ā ā ā ā ā ā up by now
Never but when streamerās viewer numbers are dropping in half or by two thirds over a month then you can see how little interest there is in the game.
Weāre also talking about a streamer who makes his living off streaming Gears and he stops playing the game a month after launch.

The thing is most people didnāt bought the game and just played the solo with game pass.
I think the business model of Gears 5 relies for the most part on microtransactions, and thatās why the prices are so high.
Watched a stream on mixer,this afternoon,he was playing campaign,then said Iām going on king of the hill,Just under 10 mins no game(s) could be found,itās 2019 why is this happening only just over 1 month and 4 days,since release,Very sad.
