I haven’t quit yet, im still trying really hard to like the game. I’m on the verge of getting general and I only have the COG and DB characters left to unlock. The problem then is what the f*** am I supposed to do on the game once iv done this. The biggest issue by far is the EU servers, or lack thereof. Usually I would have verses to play almost endlessly for fun, but nothing is skill based when you have 120 ping. The main mode in this game doesn’t work in the EU lmao. I also really despise some of the gameplay changes catering to casuals, but that doesn’t come close to overshadowing the server issues. I have a long list of other complaints, but they arent even worth mentioning because they dont come close to the state of verses.

What, is ranked KotH changed to 1 round of 180?
No, ranked is still best 2 of 3. Quickplay is just one round

As stated, ranked hasn’t changed… but again rank is unplayable unless you have a team of 5 that you can consisently play with… which most people don’t…
Most people play alone or with a party of 2-3…and in this case social is just stupid as hell. It’s broken.

Experience, is basically the same as damage done. Damage done is physical, therefore something you experience, and you have earned experience doing something, such as blowing up some poor ■■■■■■■ with the Gnasher.
But, yeah, by experience, by damage by contributing.

I just cancelled my gamepass, and can play gears 5 until 10. November.
The game had a lot of potential, but the small and boring maps and the laggy EU servers are jus t killing it. In my opinion 7 maps are a complete joke. I don’t care for escalation mode, I really don’t.
And the maps are not good which i don’t understand because gears of war 4 had ■■■■■■■ awesome maps.
We have a new map in 5 but is a map from gears 4. this is so uninspiring and boring.

Eh I agree with the most part , but saying basically if you use anyy other weapon besides shotty your a casual player, jst get over it gun games have more then one gun. And it’s grand to have more then one great gun not just your beloved shotgun and If anybody else uses something else there casual.

I played gears since the very first game. I hated using the shotgun. I preferred being fancy and take heads off with the boltok >.>
I was scary on rooftops with the hammer of dawn. I knew most of the nooks and crannys to aim for to hit people behind cover.
When playing war-machine when everyone ran to the boomshot I ran to the chaingun up top cause most didn’t expect someone to be stupid enough to do that. You’d be surprised the number of “smart” people I caught off guard with that.
This should be mounted on the versus screen.

Holy sh*t. The game can barely maintain 500 players on Steam. It’s quite sad to see those numbers, but TC had it coming when they released this sad excuse for a Gears game.

Can we please have loadout weapons back? Make this game atleast have some form of variety. Tired of playing with the same weapons from 2006. Add some variety to the loadouts. It’s boring. Hammerburst atleast…plz.
The game is so barebones. Those no room for any kind of play styles. It’s the same thing every match. Seems TC is afraid to add anything else that requireds balance because they’re having so much Trouble as it is.
I wouldn’t say no to having the hammerburst as a loadout weapon. I’d welcome it

Just hit a 20 minute queue. Game is Dead. I remember Gears 1-3 didnt matter the time, there was always a match poppin.

so last week they where placed at 16 most played at true achivements. Usually at 22.
and the jedi fallen order had 19.000 players at place 15.
Sadly if you dont look what proper competitive games did to be sucessfull like overwatch with e-sport leage averaging 70k to 150k viewers every-week is not posible do anything.
Not limiting the group skill ranking. A player is diamond, B, C, D players are silver. They will bring the diamond player to a low-elo match provoking the high-rank dude destroy the gaming-exp for the enemy team.
Allowing you have 10 profiles on your XBOX or PC: You should be allowed only to have main profile + secondary profile on the moment you add a third one the first profile is removed. People can swap profiles to leave, troll, grief, smurf without limits.
So i have my main profile then i add the profile of my “buddy” to share the games, ultimate game pass, whatever but not 15 profiles to troll the game.
Leaver penalties, PVE modes should have a better planeation:
KoTH leaver penalty 20 minutes with a Account + Hardware ban. So even if you jump to your buddy profile you can’t play
TDM, GUARDIAN, EXECUTION 10 minutes penalties.
Escalation 30 minutes penalty.
Horde: Level 1 classes you can only play easy, level 2 classes normal, level 3 classes hard, level 4 classes insane etc. With a leaver penalty shared with all the modes of 30 minutes.
Max amount of leaves per day is 3 if you leave a 4 time your hardware + profile will receive a 12 hours ban.

Why do people keep arguing for quitter penalties in a 2+ hour mode that is not intended to ne a serious, competitive environment like ranked Versus AND is not PvP? It’s only going to drive players away from the mode. Aka the best way to kill it off.

I Stopped playing , because the Movement in the game is horrible and the servers are trash.
Played all other gears game 1 thru 4 and this one is without a doubt the most boring one. They made this
game based on what the dev want and not what the loyal fans want.
I’ve ‘quit’ until they release more maps & characters plus general game balance tuning (some of which has already happened since I last played - flash grenades, lancer & melee)
Only like 2 of the new maps (Exhibit & Asylum) for the game type I play (KOTH) so for me, new maps couldn’t come soon enough.
And it’s not a Gears game without a playable Delta Squad.
Me not playing is also a silent protest to all of the above missing from launch plus the greed that is the store and general lack of unlockables outside of Tour Of Duty. No game should tell me ‘when’ to play (timed content) and ‘what’ to play (ie Horde which I have no intereset in) to unlock things.
It’s on TC and how quickly they turn things around that will bring me back and whether thats sooner rather than later. I have faith that they will eventually but it’s sad cus all of this could have been prevented from the start.
I didn’t even mention the mess that is ranking, dealing with quitters and the issues with high ping lobbies in Europe (I’m thinkin by now must be fixed??) which I’m waiting to be resolved before I even consider jumpin back in.
