Perks --- Weapon Damage VS Critical Damage

I don’t know if every character has this because I have only been leveling JD. Do you invest into weapon damage or critical damage perks with your energy? Does weapon damage boost critical damage as well? I completely ignore the artillery cool down and go for critical damage and ammo regeneration.

Same question here…

Awww, I wish this had gotten a satisfactory reply. I only use JD as well and I struggle with choosing between critical damage and assault rifle damage.

Since I’ve played more I upgrade ammo regen to level 1 and invest the rest of my energy into critical damage and assault rifle damage. It’s usually about even depending on how many heavy weapons/weapons lockers I have access to.

As JD I max out CD and AR damage, upgrade a few ammo and cool down then deposit the rest, given there is a decent Del. If not, I deal with the fabricator myself.

Been doing a mix of CD and AR, But gotten better Artillery cards, and that s–t does a lot of damage!
So will try maxing that one out.
But still no clue as to whether CD is better than AR…
My guess though is that CD will apply to any weapon you have, so a better overall bang for your buck

Does anybody know why in the Marksman class when I buy critical damage and precision weapons damage it doesn’t double my total damage? When I max the perks out to 10 you would think my damage would be up to 100% but it only Shows/Goes to 50%?! But when I’m in the Nomad class with those same exact perks it will Show/Go to 100%, And Nomad Literally has the same exact perks and when I max out the perks I have 100% Damage. I deposit my energy for the engineer to build but after base is made always go for rifle damage

Well depending on the class I always uprgrade my weapon dmg first and then critical. Correct me I am wrong here lol perking weapon dmg means you will do more damage to the enemy anywhere and critical perking will add damage to the likes of headshots.

The headshot/critical damage bonus does not show visually, but it is still there. I think it makes sense because the damage only applies to weakpoint hits rather than damage for shots that hit anywhere on the enemy.

This is why you see this logic :
