Performance And Anxiety Issues?

Thanks for the shoutout @xXARslayerXx much appreciated

Now for me it’s different. I don’t really take ANY game I play seriously anymore. Unless I’m playing ranked or directly competing against my friends for a fun little FFA match. Sometimes I join an online Versus match in Gears to just emote at people or bait snipers Into shooting me by running directly in front of their line of sight until they run out of ammo or kill me or in Siege I’ll start dancing in front drones or giving the opposite team most of my utility, mostly because I believe its refreshing to break the intense focus everyone’s having in game with some light hearted fun.

That being said, I’ve haven’t played much matches with the members of this forum as much as I’d like to but In the instances that I have I wasn’t worried about my performance because most of the time I just come up with the dumbest strategies I can conjure from my brain and test them out.

Most of the time they never work though lol

Woah woah. I am only critical in PvP

As long as people stay in Horde that’s all I care about :joy:

For me it varies. Some days I don’t care how I play lol. But most days I’m trying to bring my A game.
Also, for some reason I play better when I’m not on my mic. I tend to get distracted when I talk about things other than the game.
And when I see a familiar game tag in a lobby I usually just smile but don’t feel the need to jump over my head to impress.

I guess I’m in the minority because I get really nervous on the off chance that I get a member in my team. Also whenever I randomly get someone on my friends list who is a lot better then me. It is less now because the time when I would really get anxious is trying to master a brand new hive. Don’t have to worry about that anymore, thanks TC. Merry Christmas!

Damn dude,

Thank you. That was really nice and I hate that we didn’t get to do the campaign at all. Son has been keeping me busy.

But yea always feel free to ask away man. Never bothers me at all, I mean I asked @avaramis like a thousand questions about escape so I know what you mean.

But I really enjoy playing with you also bro. I hope I’ll see ya on sometime dude. :+1:

Cheers!

Nah Snakey! You just fly around as Jack with a gnasher or walk around holding a salvo in one hand, confusing the crap out of everybody lol.

Since the game has so many bugs and glitches and the servers are always :poop:themselves, it’s easy to just blame our stuff ups on the game.

I always play with my ping between 120-200 depending which of my friends is hosting, so lag is not new to me. Teleporting is a big issue lately and many deaths as a result due to that.

I play for fun and don’t take anything serious anymore. Playing with forum members everyday and just enjoying myself :sunglasses:

If there’s forum members, I just feel like I want to at least give the team the best possible chance of success. When I do random lobbies, especially lately with the bonus skill cards or XP, there’s times I’ll choose an “off-class,” or one that I don’t have a lot of experience with. Sometimes this can go well, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s a small risk with big reward. If I do well and we win, I get a big win: the bonus cards/xp for my less-used class. If I do poorly and we lose, it’s only a small loss, because well, I don’t know these guys anyway. However, I’ll admit I feel compelled to avoid choosing an “off-class” if forum members are present, because I don’t want them to be my guinea pigs. I wouldn’t do that to them. Not so worried about someone calling me out on the forum for a bad performance. Actually, don’t think that’s ever happened. Even if they did, I feel like I can defend myself anyway. Most of the regulars on the forum are at least respectful when it comes to calling others out.

Hopefully you try not to embarrass yourself but sometimes you just play like ■■■■. Sometimes you play well and make some new friends to run Versus with. End of the day, no ■■■■■ given.

Bottom line is no one in this forum is likely to ever know you personally, nor put a dime in your pocket. So what if someone says something negative on an online forum about you , about a game that isn’t really relevant and is going to be replaced with a newer version of the game in a year.

Back when I used to play Halo I used to run into a few guys that had a ■■■■■■ attitude. Some of them were cool but some thought they were gods gift and acted as if their skills in the game translated into some sort of power in the real world.

. Bro , you’re 28 , living at home and make minimum wage. But damn you have a nice KD. lol

Ad hominem, truly the way to cope as a casual

Hey, but they’re essential, as in our society would stop working without them, whereas many of the fancy desk jockies who live in mansions aren’t even necessary, or so we found out this year.

I can live with that.

When I play with other people notably @Thee_Bluejay as he is the only person on the forums I’ve played with a bunch really, I do find myself trying harder but being able to relax a bit more. I know this person (and whoever he plays with) is good and knows what they are doing. I can perhaps try something a little bit different without being kicked in the first couple of waves.

Shout out to him, he is a very good player in Escape and Horde.
