They seem to take better care for their own franchises?
On a side note: I would sell to passionate people. On the other fence I clearly see passionate people professionals and dedication. If by any chance you cross to the other side, you will see what I speak. People breath enthusiasm for the next game and optimism. It is different thats all I can say
i would rather Gears of War in the hands of developers that are just there to do a job. their job is to make a gears of war that is like the first 3 . and thats that… use the same assets from the first 3 but polished. and finer tune the mechanics…thats all…some new maps…maybe 1 or 2 new weapons… and all of the original character skins plus whatever new ones they want to bring to the table
i always found gears 1 gameplay to be the best the backpack ( call it a glitch all you want ) i thought took skill
gears 2 i liked the added implementation of the frag plant , some of the maps, and also the game mode guardian.
Im sorry to say you will never get that with M$ pulling the strings.
No I think you’re right, if I remember right he left a year or 2 after Gears 3 release which would be about a year into development for Judgement. Either way I remember a lot of people flaming him back in the day for changes but now it’s just constant praise
Whole thing feels like a cash grab with new consoles coming out soon.
He was still at Epic for the initial development of Judgment. He left towards the end of 2012.
He kept pushing for changes that aimed to make the Gnasher far less dominant throughout the entire catalogue of Epic developed Gears of War games.
He eventually went on to form his own game company, which he ran into the ground, which put the livelyhood of all his workers down the drain.
The people who keep wanting him back don’t understand that hundreds of people worked on the games, rather than just him. He was one of many key people making decisions, many of his they would have wanted the complete opposite with.
I really don’t understand why people assume everything good from the franchise was directly because of him. I really don’t understand why they ignore what happened when he was in complete control of a gaming company, and that the most recent part of his resume.
Epic was located in the right ventricle of gun toting freedomland while TC is in the passive aggressive land of Canada fueled by syrup, donuts and snowy whimsy.
Epic employees could open fire on the forest from their back porch when they needed violent motivation and their games benefitted from the fresh gun powder in the air.
B****, how dare you forget about our poutine. No true Canadian will omit poutine from their healthy balanced diet.
French fries already have a name. Putting cheese and gravy on them doesn’t warrant a new name. Apologize!
Yes and no. Would he be good for Gears ? Probably yes, but there was not much love for him in Xbox land after Lawbreakers, feelings might have changed though.
Thanks for slappin them for me
Always. It is my duty to protect Judgment. The slaps will continue.
@ll_R_E_D_l seems like your boy Cliffy B Is getting a lot of praise here as usual. Care to add your input on him?
You guys crack me up:joy:
I think @GhostofDelta2 hit all the points I usually make when people say bring Cliff B back.
The dude is being praised now but people forgot how much he was hated on the old Epic forums.
He was not good for Gears. I think if he would of stayed or if they had him return for Gears it would go down hill a lot faster then in the hands of TC. Gears 4 probably wouldnt of even launched with a gnasher
After his most recent company was ran into the ground pretty sure he said something along the lines of “I’m never making another video game again”.
Thank you for clarifying the history of Cliffy, you da man
Give them a trology at least. Not that I am expecting much at this point. They seem to be OK at the campaign stuff.
Yeah rest of Cliffy’s shooters are more similar to Judgment than Gears 1-3. He won’t be back and that’s good. Nyt TC need to get their act together.
