Pahanu Feedback thread

Stop with asking them to re work maps like icebound and other maps. If it’s how they release them then get good at them or just don’t vote or play the map simple as that. Creators can’t cater to everyone that complains about every single thing. Cover up windows in maps and remove railings from the bridge on icebound is example of why they don’t need to do that. They released it like that so that’s how it’s suppose to be. Don’t like it don’t play it

Your post on this map is certainly more constructive than my post on this map…

The cover in the map is so good you can crouch in the weeds and become essentially invisible.

I find that to be a con though more than a pro.

100% agree. The map looks great. Probably the coolest map ever, however the map does not work at all in multiplayer right now. Matches can last over 30 minutes right now because of lancer. Its just not balanced at all. I think it needs to be compacted.

This is just pretty much Blood Drive + Gridlock. Campfest all day. Just why?

Basically.

this is a big reason why I want more legacy Epic made Gears maps in this game. TC isn’t very good at making them in the first place

Don’t make me meme you! The amount of complaint threads about map remakes gives me all the tools I need.

Too many lancers…again. Not feeling it.

There is so much cover…where are these lancer complaints coming from? Are people not using the cover? I haven’t played enough Pahanu to know the meta but of what I did play I saw the usual Warzone strategies and plenty of Gnasher play.

That’s crazy because that doesn’t sound like Pahanu from my experience so far. It’s been nothing but cross country the whole 3 times I’ve played it.

It’s not the first time people are having different experiences in this game.

Maybe it’s a regional thing. Like how some orcas have “culture” and use different hunting strategies from other pods. Dam it @D_A_N_III_3_L it happened again.

not only culture but different languages, the orcas like humans communicate in different ways.

and yes you’re right not all Orcas attack in the same pattern, there are more violent orcas than others.

I think its the most intelligent animal besides humans, I could dare to say Orcas are smarter than Dinosaurs.

I think " Jurassic Park" author really magically increased the Dinosaurs intelligence to that level… however I don’t think Velocicraptors are as cunning as the movie portayed them hahahahaa

I mean we eat their descendants for basically every meal of the day, and occasionally watch people fight over sandwiches made of their descendants at Popeye’s. Delicious chicken.

That Boondocks episode was prophetic.

I don’t know. That’s one aspect at which they’re fairly competent, in my opinion. Foundation, Reclaimed, Lift, Forge Blitz. All of these maps are among the best in the franchise. I’m also fairly partial to Diner, although I know people have mixed feelings about that one.

We haven’t had as many new maps in Gears 5, so it’s harder to call. Allfathers Arena, Asylum, District, and Exhibit are all at least decent. I’d say they’re not as good as the new maps introduced in Gears of War 4.

TC is hit and miss with new weapon additions. They hit it out of the part in Gears of War 4. The Dropshot and EMBAR are the two best additions to the weapon pool from a Gears sequel. Gears 5 hasn’t had the same success. The Talon is a largely useless addition, and the mace has some balancing issues, although it has gotten better since launch.

The problem in Gears 5 is a lack of standard maps. They’ve spent way too many resources on Escape, which is a lame duck. Nobody actually gives a damn about that mode because it’s not entertaining to play. Gears is not, and has never been a horror game. It has minor horror aesthetics, but it never had the gameplay to match. Ammo starvation doesn’t work in it.

Where TC actually fails hard is in minute-to-minute gamefeel and weapon tuning. They can’t seem to get movement or weapon tuning right, and for some god-forsaken reason, they seem to think it’s acceptable to have several different aim assist tunings in the game. In the case of Gears of War 4, it was different damage tunings. Don’t get me started on lag compensation. Long story short, TC is approaching it from completely the wrong angle.

Gears has a steep learning curve by default. The last thing it needs is radically different aiming, damage, or movement tunings in every other mode.
