Excited for the changes to reward solo players. Not sure how I feel about 4 vs 4 but am willing to give it a fair chance. Don’t really care about the Lancer one way or the other. Quitter penalties look decent.
Not sure about the movement but I don’t really care, I never focus on that crap, I just adapt to how the game plays.

Operation 4 started with Speed of 650 then slowly changed as updates started rolling in.

Thumbs up for the weapon nerf as well… retro/claw were too strong and the lancer now require you to do some crossing which is good.

this game officially went dead with 4v4 ranked matches. you guys had this for tdm beginning of OP4, which resulted in nobody plays tdm anymore in fact tdm takes me up to 13 mins to find a match, now you guys wanna do it to the most played mode in the game, ya might as well let regular joe’s come up with ideas cuz whoever is making them right now needs to be fired, is like all the great things EPIC added to the franchise you guys have ruined, might as well just complete the few achievements i have left and uninstall this game along with canning my ultimate game pass subscription
I worry about the servers tonight. I played just 1 game of Hill on 5 last night,(then returned to 4) due to the awful laggy gameplay. It is SO disheartening. Might give it a swere until tomorrow.
Obviously even though I’m hard wired I got the obligatory “lag” symbol in the right corner.
If anyone is interested look at my capture (on my Xbox feed) where a Locust and COG are chainsaw dueling and they both DISSAPPEAR in front of me! 3 ended up quitting on the opp team, I don’t blame them at all, the game was awful.

Hi, I assume you girls and guys are aware of the constant issues with lag etc, do you know why that is? and has been so bad for ages now.
I have no technical knowledge so can’t understand how TF and TF2 for example run buttery smooth most of the time and yet Gears overall (3,4,5) tend to run badly a great deal of time.
All your team efforts on the maps and well done on that front, they look great, will be totally wasted if the game continues to run so bad. It is the one thing that will turn players away. I think the forum will attest to that.

For me the game has improved a lot and I am sure these changes to ranked will bring some freshness.

@Creanius the nerf to the air back A was necessary as you said. When you have pro players making videos about it being the most effective shot in the game because of magnetism making it a 100% accurate shot…then yea…that is way too abuseable.
I actually like the changes to KOTH regards 4v4. Not really stoked about slowing things down. But I have to remember that these changes affect everyone. So lets just play it out before we all decide things are “bad” changes. But anything to reduce the amount of 5 stack Lancer crossing im all about. Yes its an effective winning strategy. But it makes the game not fun for others to play. And when people decide its not fun, or its unwinnable unless you can find your own 5 nan stack, people quit. Not everybody wants to put that much effort into playing a video game. Some people just want to sit down for an hour or two after work and que into a few matches.

There was a time where I could play for hours on end, years pass and it’s not as easy anymore. Lot’s of us just can’t dedicate that kind of time, you know “adulting” and all. There has to be some sort of balance between those who play 40 hours a week and those who play 4. If you play 40 and can’t see that maybe you should take a break.

@J1MMYMAN3 My man…if you have constant disconnects, get your internet either (a) fixed (b) upgraded speed wise or © hardwired(get off wifi) …or all 3. Constantly disconnecting isnt a Gears problem. Its an end user problem. And unfortunately whether its an intentional quit or an unintentional disconnect- they are both super annoying.to your teammates. Its the same thing. A teammate that is there one minute and gone the next. Nobody likes playing with or especially against someone with a janky internet connection. Im gonna guess you play overwifi on a connection that doesnt have a ton of bandwidth and is shared and in use by multiple people. And that type of connection is a nightmare for multiplayer users. Rule #1 -run an ethernet wire between your equipment and your router. That is the easiest thing to do to stop disconnects. Good luck.
@xMyrkur thanks dude. You shouldnt have to go recruit 4 other “pro” players to be able to que into ranked Gears and be competitive. You will hear a lot of dissension to this mindset, but its always from the guys that have been 5 stacking for years that have had a stranglehold on the upper divisions of Ranked for a long time. They love 5 man stack Lancer crossing. The same guys that vote on foundation every time irs on the board. Deuces
