It’s hard to make out whether these changes apply to PvE too. Like Markza getting reduced from 10 rounds to 8 rounds per mag, in Escape and Horde too.

Good changes all around although I’m iffy on the Lancer.

Not everyone will be pleased of course. Let’s see how this plays out.

Well we know for a fact the Lancer change is across all modes.

The rest of the PVE breakdown is tomorrow.

All the lancer buff does is promote flanking. That’s what this game is supposed to promote. Not dead sprints towards you’re opponent while bouncing to close in a gnasher kill. You can still push and get gibs you just gotta find that flank, that blind spot. That’s what makes a COVER SHOOTER a cover shooter lol.

I’m glad with the Lancer magazine buff! (You can all hate me for it) Hope the game gets more balanced, instead of playing “Gnashers of War”.

LuL classic TC. Keep wasting time “evaluating” and “adjusting” the weapon that everybody fundamentally hates so you can shove it back in our faces at a later date. Great idea!

So hang on a sec, is that tc admitting the gnashers had quite a few bugs until now? If they were working on fixes what’s been with all the “its working correctly”?

Here’s hoping it actually works properly now.

Nah they used the word “consistent” rather than “fixed.” Like…the Markza is consistently inferior to every other weapon.

Yea but there was no need to up the magazine count and lower the active timer. Ill tell you right now that this place and social media is gonna be crazy after this update

GNASHER

“Reduced hipfire magnetism range by 2m (now 6m, was 8m)”

Bad idea unless there is a corresponding reduction in hard aim magnetism, as well. Mid-range fights are going to be LT fests now.

LANCER

  • Magazine increased to 40 from 30 (across all game modes)

Not really needed, and potentially OP when combined with the faster active cooldown.

MARKZA

  • Reduced damage to 120 from 125

How can anybody who’s used the post-nerf Markza conclude that it needs to be nerfed even more? It’s already 100% useless and outclassed by loadout weapons. This is truly baffling.

SNUB

Classic TC overly-convoluted response. All the Snub needed was a fire rate cap. Why are there four different variables being adjusted? How can you ever possibly hope to balance the game when so much changes at once?

BOLTOK

Mid-to-long range damage falloff increased so that damage is reduced at 12.5m and beyond

Completely unnecessary. The Boltok already takes five shots to down at mid-long range. Why does TC continue to punish people who are good with precision weapons?

Overall, most of these tuning changes seem either unneeded or counterproductive. Not encouraged at all.

5 shots? The boltok (was) is very deadly at range. Two good shots. Maybe three body shots.

PC remap/macro users are going to love this update.

You would think that TC would realize most of us dont like esports and escalation

You’d think they realized during the 1st gears 5 event when they werent giving out skins and they didnt get anywhere near the number of viewers they normally get

The Boltok is garbage at range. I routinely hit four shots in a row without a down. You’re better off using the Lancer once full damage drop off kicks in.
