I reopened the game after more than a month just to corroborate what you say, and as I was saying, the game has felt like this since beta test 2: clumsy, slow and with a lack of connection between the hand and the player.
Needless to say, I only endured one game and I left feeling a little nauseous.
Probably it has improved a little in the Op2, but still it was miles away from reaching the sharp, precise and fast mobility of the 4.

Here’s the thing, I don’t care about whether Gears is fast or not. I enjoyed both UE and Gears 4 multiplayer plenty and still go back to either of them from time to time.
Keep in mind it took Gears 4 a long while before it became what is loved today.
My issue with Gears 5 is that it has an idenity crisis. It was on the course of becoming Gears 4 with more ranged gunplay while ironing out the bugs, despite the tug of war between the pros and the community, with outcries of wanting either Gears 1 or Gears 4 core gameplay.
And here we are with the mud movement reminiscent of Gears 1 with the ranged weapons taking us back to Gears 2. And the worst part is that we have no idea if whether this new movement is a bug or intentional.
I just want a CONSISTENT Gears. I wish TC would just put their foot down, stick with a vision and polish it.
Let the rest accept that and either adapt or leave.
TC is afraid to take risks with its mechanics.
TC is stuck playing catch up with the bugs because of a rushed release.
The core community is almost entirely afraid of change, yet are torn with what era of Gears they want 5 to be.
And now TC has lost Ryan, and whether that actually affects the direction of Gears 5 remains to be seen.
This circus has to end somehow, I don’t even wanna see Gears 6 for another few years until TC decides on what the hell Gears 5 is supposed to be so people can actually take their time with it.

I don’t think there’s a problem with movementa. The Op. 3 weapon tuning is the issue imo. Gnasher is too powerful up close and Lancer ammo/active buff makes crossing a bit too powerful too. This is what’s limiting the effectiveness of movement play, and both loadout weapons should be reverted back to their pre-TU5 states.
There are too many delays and sticky walls. This is what’s wrong with the movement. Weapon tunings are also a major problem. Once again, an update comes out and they break more than they fix.

Gears 5 plays like night and day when using a xbox one then going to a xbox one x. So i would expect smoother gameplay with an even powerful console.
It doesnt matter though. I wont be getting it if this is the game they want us to play. It is wht it is. Pretty depressing
Finally have time off and i dont want to play this game.
I don’t think the gnasher is too powerful. I think they ■■■■■■ something up with the hit detection. Shots aren’t landing like they use to at point blank range…and the gib is kinda ridiculous now. The previous gnasher was perfect.

Well said tc u here this u fix chit that doesn’t need fixing and make things worse and the ranking system has never been more broken then now won and got mvp and 0 earned lost and got de rank I love this ranking system. Thanks a lot for nothing fix the movement the tuning for weapons and bring back guardian and give us flash bangs to push ppl and break setups I hate just playing a stand still and just lancering all day I do love to use all my weapons but now the only way to play is camp and use ur lancer since nothing works and also the shot gun sux it does threw ppl doesn’t do chit on pc and I hit them 2 times close rang 0 damage wtf is wrong with this game

Most of the update was garbage IMO. GNASHER AND MOVEMENT TO BE SPECIFIC! Can’t forget let’s add more rounds to the ******* lancer.

When you join party last night we were in a match on reclaimed even though we went 3 rounds it all came down to whom got intial setup First. Extra what? 11 bullets in lancer. Crazy pin downs. 11x5 extra 55. Nuts. Smokes need a stun effect.
