Idk if people realised, but the COG gear Corpse wasn’t the gears 4 version,
It was the corpse of the new gears 5 soldiers, meaning a new model.
I hope we’re finally getting separate loadouts once this Operation launches.

Gilded Baird and Classic Baird is the same in my book, even if they do have different colors.

Single life modes will not be played for to long. Because you will need to be a 5 stack vs 5 stack.
I feel you. I’m not trying to hate. I like gears 5 to an extent, but playing on old maps CONSTANTLY is driving me up a wall. I feel so driven to shut the game off whenever an old map shows up. I played on these maps for years. I enjoy TCs new maps. This new one look pretty awesome. Reminds me of bullet marsh. Canals ruins any hype I had for operation 3. It’s a good map, but dude I’ve played this before. I know how each match plays out. I’m bored just thinking about it.

No doubt in Baird, but They can charging 250 for the gear corpse is fine imo.
Where is this being said that flashbangs are being removed? I don’t even use flashbangs and I am very upset by seeing this…
Tc is obsessed with removing and minimizing loadout selection. They remove everything they add. Hammerburst now this.
This better not be real. It’s variety, it’s about combating different scenarios and using different tactics. Flash bangs NEVER once Angered me enough to want them removed.
And before someone says it I’ll reinstate that I almost never use flashbangs myself but I enjoy going against the use of them. I run smoke usually to blind the hill on koth if it’s crowded or to rush a power weapon.
Big mistake IMO. Just adds to the same boring game we’ve all played for several years with nothing new. They just keep removing things.

Yes when people miss use the option and find ways to exploit the game balance they have to remove it.
Otherwise they have to limit the option. Such as players can only choose flashbangs every 5th spawn. Or as in escalation. Only 2 players Will be able to have it.
Its balance. 5 stacks. Higher ranked games etc.

I’m sorry. This game I guess isn’t for me? That’s fine. I DONT see the point in completely removing loadout selection. That’s removing my ability to customize any part in how I play. Now everyone is playing the exact same way…on the same maps we’ve played for years…it just keeps getting worse.
You can tell me the flashbangs were exploited but in my Actual experience and many many hours of gameplay, it was to the contrary.
Removing features is not okay. I’m not saying your opinion is wrong. I respect it even though I don’t understand it.
I want a different game I guess. Tired of the same game playing out match after match. I want the inclusion of different play styles not the removal of features.
Not to mention all the work they put into flashbangs being nerfed, and tweaked. All for nothing. Complete waste of time.

To contribute to your flashbang discussion it think they should’ve kept smokes like they were and should probably just go back and scrap the flashbang. They tried it and it doesn’t work well. The smoke was just fine how it was. It stunned enemies but was also a double edged sword cause neither player could see clearly. Now you have flashbang which are entirely BS especially in KOTH. You get spammed, stunned, blinded and there’s no down side for who’s throwing it so you’re just sitting there waiting to die. You can bounce still but that doesn’t help when bouncing is nearly useless in gears 5. It would be better if you could roadie run while flashed.

They could add more maps in a “mid-operation” thing eventually, even if they aren’t NEW maps but remakes. I mean, how much time could take remaking a map? Maybe Jacinto, or Mansion?

Disagree. Move away. Make the timer before it lights up 2 seconds so you can get out of its proximity.
Never bothered me tho.
If they’re gonna keep removing loadout selection and further minimizing ways to play throughout this series they need to add new content to take its place because this game is as stale as a pretzel that’s been sitting in a cabinet for 3 years.

I suppose I am thinking of the easy way out. They’ve already reverted a good amount of decisions why not keep going. But I do think making them pick ups or limiting how many on a team can have them is a good idea. They are very useful in PvE and I’d miss them there. I don’t always have a problem with them just when I’m getting spammed with them and there’s nothing I can do about it. Slightly Increasing the detonation time(by milliseconds) would probably be a good way to go that way I at least have time to back up. At this point gears 5 feels like a big experiment.

I can not help but think, the characters are, or seem, overpowered.
It is just me, init. I am not on purpose, picking fault. It just seems, OTT.
Canals is back, it is almost as if it never went away. Got to admit, not a fan of Canals. Should have used Checkout instead, a better map, in my opinion.
I did expect more changes for PvE, although i have to say, what there is, what little there is, seems, good.
April is looking good, lets hope it does more than look, eh.
Jeez TC, if you wanted me to uninstall the game that bad, you could have just asked.
Mark my words, Gears of War 6 will be even worse, and the moment it comes out, TC will drop this game like it has Covid-19.
If the GoW 5 servers still work at all, they will be even worse then they are now, and TC will expect you to spend both your time and your money to reunlock all the cosmetics you wasted your time unlocking in 5, in 6.
