But a gnasher focused Gears 5 won’t help either cause the regular player HATES that in shooters as shown AGAIN in Modern Warfare due to the 725 shotty rage threads/videos ect.
So if anything, blame Gnasher Freaks AND TC for the current state of Gears 5

Yeah and I liked the dark and gritty feel of 1 and 2. It looked like a bloody gory war was taking place. You could nearly imagine a rainbow appearing while the war takes place in 5 lol everything is so bright and colourful to fit with the friendlier less brutal style of the newer gears games

Didn’t Microsoft give them 2 games to make? I am sure that I read that some where.
I would say that TC is done now, they have just showed that they are not capable to deliver on a good game for this series.

Doc hates Gears, he’s a CoD/PubG/BR player, FPS, so Gears is not his thing, and he has said many times he hates it.
I don’t know why he tried Gears 5, I’m guessing MS “asked him” , I’m not surprised he left it…
TC CAN make a good Gears game… GoW4 was fun (Horde and MP wise, campaign was lack luster, to say the least).
Gears 5 campaing is pretty good, but horde and vs is a complete cluster frack. They decided to INNOVATE, they decide to try and change the formula which has worked for 12 years, because they believed they were the right team to do it (from an interview with TC, word for word). Well, guess what - no, you’re not.
You don’t build a product and convince people they should like it. You build a product which people like.
3 years of GoW4 experience, tunings, tweaking, etc - they thew all of that out the window, and started from scratch, betting that they knew what would attract new people to the game and keep old players happy.
Seems they failed on both ends, on average.
They need to say “ok, we were arrogant, we bit off more than we can chew, let’s go back to playing it “safe” and make a fracking Gears game for Gears fans!”.

Yea tbf, i don’t think someone like Doc is who our standard should be. He’s always been an FPS guy, and Gears is a bit of a niche game. You give it a shot and put in enough time and you either get it or don’t. Not that Gears 5 is great but i do agree that Doc saying Gears 5 is bad is almost what you’d want to hear.
MAN I LOVE THE DOC. Yes absolutely 100% agree gears will be dead soon enough and then you will realise your mistakes TC.

I do wish there was consistency in two things. Movement and aiming.
The movement is nerfed in versus. I move better in escape and horde than I do in versus.
Also, the aim assist (adhesion) is at a higher setting in pve. This makes it highly annoying when you’re someone who likes to play both PvP and pve. The muscle memory just can’t set in properly with sniping and what not. It’s a real problem for me. Gears 4 had none of that. It was consistent.
The whole aim assist/adhesion thing is a point we can agree on. It’s not something I want to have in PvE modes, at least on mid-high difficulty settings. Partially because I know my aim is good enough to not need crutches, so to speak. Even not playing Versus it feels rather annoying when my aim is visibly pulled by something not part of my controller input and it has messed up shots or just where I was aiming. And it’s not exactly very immersive when I’m fighting the game over control because I was aiming at one target but another moved and it decided the aim would magically start following the moving target for a second.

I don’t think you get it. A lot of people are unhappy with the game. They didn’t need someone to tell them they were unhappy and it’s silly to think that. It’s ironic that you are complaining about complainers. If you like the game, then like it and don’t worry about the opinions of others
Some people are very vocal because they want change. They want improvement. The fact that they haven’t given up altogether shows what passionate Gears fans they are.

A shotgun in an fps or CoD isn’t the same as the Gnasher in Gears.
Again, the multiplayer literally became popular and a thing of it’s own because of the Gnasher. People coming from other games always think it should play like a regular shooter, where Rifles dominate but that’s not the case.
Gears’ primary weapon online is the shotgun because it used to be up close, in your face and the adrenalin rush provided was and is still unmatched by anything else so far.
