A shotgun in an fps or CoD isn’t the same as the Gnasher in Gears.
Again, the multiplayer literally became popular and a thing of it’s own because of the Gnasher. People coming from other games always think it should play like a regular shooter, where Rifles dominate but that’s not the case.
Gears’ primary weapon online is the shotgun because it used to be up close, in your face and the adrenalin rush provided was and is still unmatched by anything else so far.

Number matter an the people watching Gears eSports now days says it all.
You can point the good things about the game but to this point from a AAA game you expect more.
Defend the game all you want the end is not that far they only delaying the inevitable.
Hopefully another company take this franchise away from TC before is too late.

It was not the gnasher but the gore and gritty “destroyed beauty” look, which Gears 4 took away, that made Gears famous in the past and not the gnasher!
Only a core audience loved the gnasher gameplay but many didn’t cause it was always kinda silly(guns feel like air soft guns and stupid wall cancel hyper dashing)

The Dr isn’t wrong. It’s literally the same ■■■■. Luckily he didn’t have to sit through the boring ■■■ story and play the horribly made everything else. Honestly, G6, if it ever happens, should go to a different dev. One who knows what the ■■■■ fans like and can make the smart decision to make it more like G3. Then, let the series die. Gone are the days of Gears and what it stood for.
Also, if the lead MP guy, or whatever the hell he is, can’t take negativity, he should’ve never come here. The game is a pile of trash and people can and will be negative in their critiques. But what do I know. Anyone who doesn’t review this thing positively is just a troll.

Well, Avrage salary in a random EU country such as Croatia = 753 $ a month. Thats 9.5 $ per working day. Its not even a whole skin as winter Marcus is 10 $… 8 hours of work. And this is a EU salary imagen any other country outside of EU… I mean its kind of ridiculus.

You could argue that TC are just following the path that Epic started to take. Now the community is pulling TC in different ways. Some like it, some aren’t bothered, some dislike it.
There are so many differing views on a lot of things right now, I doubt even the community truly knows what it wants.

It’s funny that the OP posted this Doc video, because a) he said this before the game was actually out, so it’s not like he’s intelligently commenting on the specific qualities of Gears 5 itself, and b) Doc actually went on to try Gears 5 multiplayer after this, and actually had a good time with it, despite thinking the series’ trademark movement and stuff was janky (especially the wall sliding). He even did pretty well after some early frustration - I recall one legendary clip where he managed to win a 1v5 in Execution, and he was seriously hyped afterward.
No, he just can’t handle any negative truth about this ■■■■ game. And I’m gonna guess you file any negative critiques as “trolling” or “trash talk.”
No, I don’t, and I have expressed my own fair share of issues with the game. And if you’d read the thread where he asked for feedback or further communication, instead of being rude and behaving like a child, you can see him reacting to NEGATIVE feedback calmly and in an appropriate manner. Not being unreasonable or insultive and aggressive like you are.
For the mo? It was def the Gnasher gameplay which was unique and different from every other game out there. The destroyed beauty aesthetic was the overall tone that hasn’t been there since Gears 3, tbh.
So long as you can find a match then what do you care what steamchart or some loud mouth who probably knows nothing about Gears says? I was playing for several hours today mostly with full rooms. I never had to wait more than a minute n a half to find a match on any mode. That’s all the proof I need that the game isn’t dead. Imo all Gears games prior to Gears 4 had the “destroyed beauty” look even Gears 3, Judgment and Gears1UE only presented through different engines/global illumination tech
