Ok let's take a second to talk about gears and the rest of the industry with In game purchase content

I’m 31, so it’s fine.

I’m you have to blow on the cartridge before the game will play old.

I’ve played with guys in their 60s on gears. It really is magical. The hardcore fans make gears fun. More than the newer gears titles today

Wish more mature people would step out of the shadows.
They give old people a respectful name. Nothing like getting outplayed by gramps :joy: I welcome that. Show the true scrubs (basically anyone young) the way

I’m an oldbie, been around since '06 and even in the original forums but since I didn’t log in at a specific time I don’t get the thing that says community vetran.

But, well, here I be.

LMAO, sometimes it does feel that way.

I’ve been playing since midway into gears 2s life
I was their 1st in line to get the Gears Of War 3 ultimate addition XBOX 360 ELITE. That came with the statue and the cog with the DLC code i did not even know existed lol  UNTILL Gears 4… Literally I had no clue :joy:
I found out from a random gears 3 easter egg vid on youtube
THEY PLAYED ME LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!!!

Gears 3 and halo Reach
They were my 360 life

Played Horde none stop on gears 2 3 and fire fight on reach over system link

System link ? Anyone remember that  yeah before this always online trash existed

Splinter Cell chaos theory was where its at on system link

My Gears collection is only second to my Sonic collection. OMG, I love Gears so much and I have so much stuff. Games, Books, Comics, The huge Marcus statues, pops, … I’m such a nerd.

Oh GOD YES this is perfect >~>

Soooooooo what you think of sonic 06 ? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Truthfully, it had potential but they were too ambitious with not enough time. They released a game that just fell down. I liked it for what it could’ve been and wished it would’ve been better. Also, meh on Silver and that d*mn ball puzzle.

“IT’S NO USE!!!”

Only 06ers know the ref

But hey with all these random cross overs. Maybe we can get Egg man in gears 5  For a reasonable sum of course

TC be discussing this in their conference room like

Oh Lawd.
I didn’t like Silver and I really still don’t.
I thought he was a whiney child.

He is a bit better in the IDW comics, at least he serves a purpose, but I just really am not a fan of him either way.

To be honest I haven’t seen any content worth buying. No maps, horde skill packs or epic pack that allow you to get scrap for skill cards. If it don’t make your game easier or improve you in a way besides looks it’s not worth buying. Skins are just garbage.

These are facts.

You know, the people who create the customisation items are different to those who actually make the content in game?

If you don’t like the skins, and you don’t like the price, just, don’t buy them. Complaining isn’t going to make a difference.

The thing is most Xbox players are now on gamepass ultimate so are playing the game for free. So the only way they can make any money from gears is through ppl buying the extra bits. Not me personally though as I rarely buy skins or lootboxes in games. Only ever did it on overwatch as I was hooked on that game.

Mature? I doubt I would qualify a guy in his sixties playing video games as mature. And I’m saying this as a guy with a grown son himself. I agree with your sentiment, I just think that’s an odd term to use when were talking about adults playing as cartoon super men blowing each other into chunks. I know what you mean by it, you just meant older. Maturity is just USUALLY used in the context of mental and emotional maturity. And that, I wager we are all in short supply of.

Atleast not to this extent either. 10 dollars for one weapon skin set is insane.

My father has been a medic for 25 years and has saved many many lives. Some kids. Dude is a hero. Plays gears, atleast for the pve modes. He’s over 60.

And? I’m not going to list out my personal achievements, but I have children that are adults myself, I can still say there’s a lack of maturity in playing video games. Don’t get all salty about it, just own it. Doesn’t make us terrible people.

No salt here. I promise. But what’s fun is fun. Maturity has nothing to do with it.
