I was using single stick and ive been switching back and it honestly feels better with it off especially when strafing and the gnasher not having its sway anymore. The center mass is more prevalent and having SS off makes its sooo much easier.
The only reason ss is used is because of how bad the input lag is
Just played for about 5 hours before my game crashed and wanted to update my feedback after having played a decent amount.
Firstly, that’s potentially the single longest stint I have managed to sit and play on Gears since Gears 3 without getting bored, I was actually enjoying myself and didn’t want to turn it off. On the old tuning I would genuinely feel myself getting bored after about 10-15 minutes.
Lancer - I intentionally used it in different situations to get a feel for it. I think it’s in the sweet spot now in terms of damage. At close range you’ll likely die if you have it equipped because that’s not the correct weapon to be using. At mid range you can down a player easily if you’re accurate and they’re out of positon. At long range it’s very weak and does little to nothing. That is exactly how it should be, it needs NO further changes to damage but in the interest of keeping it viable, potentially consider tweaking the time it takes to reach full bloom to account for the additional required bullet, perhaps 0.075 - 0.1 seconds longer?
Snub - It’s strong, I can’t tell what is making it feel so strong but it’s certainly a useful weapon now. I don’t think it’s overpowered though.
Gnasher - In my first bit of feedback I said that it’s range is a bit too much but I take that back, I think the Gnasher is in a perfect state now. Even on unoptimal servers I am not finding myself having too many “sponging” issues.
Movement - It is perfect. It requires the player to think about what they’re doing and not just spam A. I have read comments on here and it’s certainly NOT slow, if you’re good at it you can fly around the map but it requires some form of thought now and that is where the skill is involved. I don’t think it should go any slower but it certainly shouldn’t go above 600uu either. 600uu feels like the perfect spot when combined with these other tunings and assist adjustments. I feel like even the smallest adjustment to this would undo all of the great work on the rest of the tuning.
Weapon swap - I know this is a planned change for the future but it certainly needs to take a little bit longer to equip the Gnasher, it’s too fast.
The game feels very satisfying to play and I am seeing lots of people returning to Gears who were turned away from it with the previous tuning.
I know that the community is divided with feedback but I will repeat what I have said before, the community IS divided in how they see their ideal game and there’s no middle ground. Either you want it to feel like it does in this beta tuning or you want it to feel like it does in the base game. Changing anything to an “in between” value won’t please everyone, it won’t please anyone.
Played 3 hours beta playlist it was so fun i missed trading shots back and forth finally have skill gap in game if people find game slow its not imo still up a and wrap shots are there people can still pull up good movement as i see if anyone says its slow and dont like it u need stop complaining and learn focusing
I played a lot in the beta tuning playlist the last couple of days. Here is my honest opinion about it.
Imo the slide speed is too slow, faster slide speed feels better and favors a better playstyle.
The health regen when bouncing is amazing, please bring that back to the official playlists.
The fact that the shots hit the same position every time when blindfire is amazing. It should have been like that from the beginning though. Also the new pellet system from the Gnasher - I like that.

Part 2:
played a bunch more matches, around 30 or so, so my total has to be easily over 50 matches of this new playlist so far.
Gnasher battles definitely feel longer/harder, the gib range is a bit too large right now so it sorta just becomes a bot walk battle because bouncing is more easily punishable, regardless though expect to be tested far more than what you are used to in Gears 5.
Lancer sorta feels right but I haven’t had any 5v5 stacks going on so its hard to speculate how it would play in Ranked atm, considering running customs for testing purposes on this matter. Although you are moving slightly slower because they got rid of the regen penalty for bouncing I imagine it’ll work as a nerf to lancer.
4 stacks are cancer for this playlist…
Also special shoutout to @Livo for the ggs, not surprised you were bored with the game lol you’re only reup 3 (which means you probably put less than 100 hours into the game, if I had to guess) 
Won’t be playing this playlist again today most likely, I like the changes but none of it has weight because there is nothing at stake and people aren’t trying.
Haha hey man, I did recognise you and shout you out whilst I was playing, but I was streaming and didn’t want to start a big chat in Global.
I know I am only re-up 3 but I sat at lvl 100 for about 6 months, I only recently re-up’d by accident, as I did it once it made sense to carry on 
I love the aim assist being less and that my shots from wall cancels or cover are consistent now. It truly feels like you need to aim instead of blindfiring in the opponent’s general direction. Add the tighter ADS spread and it raises the skill ceiling for gnasher encounters. What would raise it further however is decreasing the damage the gnasher does outside of gib range. As it stands, virtually 90% of gnasher encounters end in a 2 shot down. Usually whomever lands the first shot wins. This is made worse by the fact that it’s basically impossible to survive 2v1 encounters because you get downed at the speed of light by them both firing. Maybe the blindfire spread being a little wider (by around the same amount as the ADS was made tighter) would help this? It would surely make strafing and roadie-run strafing much more effective.
My biggest gripe is the cover slide change. I loved how fast it was in gears 3; it increased your survival rate and if your opponents wanted to hit you they had to have good aim with proper prediction. The kids who spun the control stick in circles while having the A button on turbo were easy to take down if you just blindfired at them as they spazzed out, while creating space. But having it so slow now means a well-timed cover slide to avoid a return shot isn’t as rewarding.

Hello, I have noticed certain changes in the “beta” list and they seem right to me except that there are still unjustified deaths, that is, senseless deaths, they literally do not give you the shot and they kill you, for me and for many players who come of the first 3 Gears of War this represents a very great frustration because it took us a lot of time especially to Gears of War 3, the greatest success of Gears of War in terms of experience, fun and satisfaction of the multiplayer with special emphasis on the wallbounce that was the quintessential flagship weapon of any good respectable gear in the game. I bet all veterans (especially Gears of War 3) would like the wallbounce to have a good rating … They are achieving it, the movement speed is very good like this, the pellets are good, the mobility, the speed with which the player is free to move fast with the A button, everything is actually fine, the only thing that would take away is the shooting assist (I’m not really sure that’s what it is but it is intuited due to the exaggeratedly false way in the one that kills a player) I have video evidence where the deaths I mention can be clearly seen, I also have wallbounce videos and all kinds of shots in case they need to see any … For now I will only try to attach a couple of images that correspond to the same death (before and after death) to explain a little what I mean, managing to fix that I bet gears will be a success, as they say, it’s a difficult game mode but that’s where we all come from, to it cost us time too mpo and dedication to practice the different types of wallbounce, shooting, mobility, etc. I remain available for any questions, comments or if you require 100% objective visual content. (It only lets me attach an image) but it is seen on the screen how the opponent is aiming and shooting forward when he had already won his back, in the image you can see the yellow arrow that says “you” in the lower left.
Hola, he notado ciertos cambios en la lista “beta” y me parecen acertados con excepción de que sigue habiendo muertes injustificadas, es decir, muertes sin sentido, literalmente no te dan el disparo y te matan, para mí y para muchos jugadores que venimos de los primeros 3 Gears of War esto representa una frustración muy grande debido a que nos tomo dedicar mucho tiempo especialmente a Gears of War 3 el mayor éxito de Gears of War en cuanto experiencia, diversión y satisfacción del multiplayer con especial énfasis al wallbounce que era el arma insignia por excelencia de cualquier buen gear respetable dentro del juego. Apuesto a que todos los veteranos (sobre todo de Gears of War 3) nos gustaría que el wallbounce tenga una buena valoración… Lo están logrando, la velocidad de movimiento está muy bien así, los perdigones están bien, la movilidad, la rapidez con la que el jugador tiene libertad de moverse rápido con el botón A, en realidad todo está bien, lo único que le quitaría es la asistencia de tiro (no estoy muy seguro de que sea eso pero se intuye debido a la manera exageradamente falsa en la que se mata a un jugador) tengo pruebas de videos en dónde se ve claramente las muertes que menciono, también tengo videos de wallbounce y todo tipo de tiros por si requieren ver alguno… Por ahora solo intentaré adjuntar un par de imágenes que corresponden a una misma muerte (antes y después de la muerte) para explicar un poco a lo que me refiero, logrando arreglar eso apuesto que gears será todo un éxito, como dicen, es un modo de juego difícil pero de ahí venimos todos, a nosotros también nos costó tiempo y dedicación para practicar los diferentes tipos de wallbounce, tiros, movilidad, etc. Quedo a disposición de cualquier duda, comentario o si requieren contenido visual 100% objetivo. (Solo me deja anexar una imágen) pero se ve en pantalla como el oponente está apuntando y disparando hacía adelante cuando ya le había ganado la espalda, en la imágen se ve la flecha amarilla que dice “tu” en la esquina inferior izquierda.
Please don’t mess with the lancer, its perfectly fine the way it is outside of the beta tuning. If people are complaining about it then they should just go play FFA or 2v2 gnashers because it’s clear they only want to play with one gun. Players should be punished for charging out in the open. After all, this is a cover based shooter.
Is no one playing the in Beta in Europe? 15mins and can only get games with 110+ pings?
The Gnasher’s magnetism is noticeable, now the skill is really rewarded and not just luck.
The movement should be faster, it would be excellent to return to 690 as was the movement of Gears 4.
Major high ping advantages should be your only concern
So the shotty finally feels consistent, the lancer feel like the one from UE. I do miss the active boost, but I can get used to not having it for loadout weapons. overall the tuning is great, but the slide to cover speed needs to be increase by just a little. It was previously 650 and now 600. 600 doesn’t even feel much faster than the rodie run. Wall bouncing feels too slow. I feel like the speed should be increased to 625 for a little more balance. what do yall think?
Perfect the way it is in the dev playlist for the stuff you mentioned…my opinion.
Eh it’s alright. Honestly they could’ve just lowered the gib range and somehow make up A less abused…that’s it.
Also improve the latency or something cuz some shots are clearly getting lost.

Estoy de acuerdo, esta gnasher es la mejor desde que se lanzó Gears 5, premia el verdadero skill y no la suerte. Por otro lado el movimiento se siente un poco lento, un ajuste para un poquito más de velocidad sería perfecto. Ojalá y este ajuste entre el 18 de Agosto. HYPE!!!
