I do not like the movement change it feels that its makes the game clunky imo not “more tactical” as people keep suggesting and it feels unneeded would NOT like to see it come to the live game!

The lancer uses hit scan detection, not projectiles.
Gears of war is a pop n lock cover based shooter, you aren’t meant to rush people like a idiot 24/7, atleast in gears 3 there was skill gap in coordination and the gnasher took skill to use.

Any reason beta playlist doesn’t have bot backfilling like other quickplay modes?
They never bothered to implement bots in the playlist because they want players to give them feedback.
The slide speed decrease is great.
Now just decrease the damage and size of the clip for the lancer to balance it out.
Also, gnasher is used in too many scenarios it shouldn’t be used in. Why is the long range damage and poke range damage as strong as it is? People are failing to utilize the “correct” weapon in the “appropriate” scenario a lot of the times because the gnasher is too versatile from many ranges than what it should mainly be intended for. A strong shotgun is by all means understood, but at the appropriate ranges. The gnasher can be consistent and strong in close to quarters and at medium range, but not be so overpowered in such long range scenarios.
I just want to say that if u’ll sell another expensive bundle as carmine’s dont do stupid things and re-sell the skins individual, that was annoying for all of us… AND FIX THE AWFULL GNASHER
Yeah… i think i’ll make my own motto for the gnasher since it has inverted accuracy.

Personally, I can live with the new change, is not that big of a deal. With that being said, I would prefer to keep it as it already is since I don’t want to support the idea of making this game any slower.
On a side note, I actually prefer the game how it was right at the end of OP2.
What did happen to he smoke stun? It should be brought back. More tactical in my opinion.

I have no idea but I literally played 4 games in a row 4v5 and everytime someone on the other team left they’d get a player before us lol

It has always been that way. In fact, most of the weapons are like that in Gears with the exception of the Boomshot, Dropshot, Torque Bow (up until it has reached the charge threshold to become instant-hit), etc.
Gears 1 felt projectile-based because shots were calculated on the server side (and by server I mean the host’s console), meaning your bullets wouldn’t come out until the server responded with the shot’s location, resulting in you having to lead your bullets.

For the last two days I have been back on Gears Of War 4. Both days were a lot of fun. Sweaty, high ranked matches with a game that felt connected to your hand. Jumping into 5 today to test the new playlist may have been the least amount of fun i have had playing Gears 5. Granted the matches were uneven team count wise, but this just doesn’t excuse how laboring the game feels. Slow, heavy and disconnected. IMO this will greatly diminish the ability to Up A, wrap around or reaction shot successfully. The result, a game with less play styles and skill gap. If you struggle to defend these shots, it just points out that you have areas to work on in your defensive play. Now don’t get me wrong, there is a lot more that needs to go in to making the movement better outside of just slowing or speeding it up, but slowing it down is definitely not the answer IMO. @Bury_the_Wick 's video points out one of the core problems. Jamie himself touched on this slightly in the dev stream too.
Yeah it’s sort of misleading
The bullet tracer VFX make it seem as if guns are actually shooting projectiles, when they aren’t. I think it would be interesting to see the effect of converting to a projectile-based lancer when shooting at certain distances, though that’s a much more expensive approach when it comes to processing.
Anyway, we’re off-topic 
This does diminish the up A. This is a good thing. Every fight should not end in an up A. Yes, the up A is still useful, as are reaction shots, but with a slower slide you have to be more methodical and strategic in choosing when to use them. The problem with 4 and 5 is majority of fights end in an upA. A slower slide speed will actaully increase the skill gap by rewarding the smarter player. I’ve been testing it and upAs are still useful, but only when they’re meant to be. This allows more playstyles to be in game, such as strafing, playing the covers, and bouncing.
