Off topic banter

I’ll put my findings here.

I’ve tested multiple cards on the Protector, I’m unable to test the regen field card as I only have it at level 5 and the Gnasher card brings a lot of factors into testing that is hard to control. I’ve done testing on Short Range recharge but I’m not confident on my results or my testing method.

To test the melee card and the bleed card, I hit a Dropshot Scion once with melee on The Line on Beginner difficulty.

Big Knife: advertised as 130% extra melee damage.

Base damage for melee: 750 on a Dropshot Scion.
Damage with just Big Knife enabled: 1650 on a Dropshot Scion. A 120% damage increase.

The Big Knife card doesnt work as advertised.

Bloody Blade: 110% at level 6, 90% at level 4

Bleed per tick without Big Knife, Level 6: 825
Bleed per tick without Big Knife, Level 4: 675
Bleed per tick WITH Big Knife, Level 6 for both cards: 825
Bleed per tick WITH Big Knife, Level 4 Bloody Blade and Level 6 Big Knife: 675.

It seems that Bloody Blade takes the base damage of the melee and takes it as the bleed, rather than stacking the bleed with the damage increase. Nevertheless, both give out the correct results if you take it from the base damage.

Ultimate duration: 60% increased drop shield duration
Without skill card: 10 seconds
With level 6 card: 16 seconds

Works exactly as advertised.

The only card that I’ve tested that doesn’t work as advertised is Big Knife.

Question for anyone that might know: I’ve seen a few times where I play a public horde match and the engineer will pick up the fabricator, set it down or move it and then set it down and then immediately quit the game. They also don’t deposit their money. Has anyone else seen this? Is this more trolling nonsense?

They were probably kicked. Happens to myself and now @GhostofDelta2 pretty often

How would they be kicked though? It was a public match. Do you mean the servers auto-kicked them for some reason?

Yes, the servers did. Disconnects seem to happen a lot in this game…

They’re probably looking at the taps and decided “nope, bad spot. sayonara Ns”

I initially liked your message but then I read it again more carefully (I tried to un-like but the page won’t allow me to do so). I hope that your “Ns” was not a shortened form of a despicable racial slur. If it was I would like to strongly encourage you to never use such language going forward, even if it is shortened. Those types of words have no place here or anywhere else.

If I am mistaken in my understanding then I apologize and would LOVE for you to tell me what “Ns” means.

@GhostofDelta2 - for reference…

Why not just say that then? “Sayonara Nice Guys” or “Sayonara NGs”. No one reading what you wrote would jump to that being short for “Nice Guy” / “Nice Guys”.

@HerrKatzchen Think there should be an attempt to convince TC to let us use Blademaster skills outside of venom in Escape? I’m really getting tired of not picking the class because I favor playing with friends and ending up outrunning the venom more times than not. Although then again, they’d probably have to “fix” something due to the perks in Horde supposed to give you what you’re not getting due to lack of venom presence.

It would have to be an Escape-only change and how likely is that to happen? Idk, Lahni is still my most played Escape-char but at this point I accepted that she’s better off in Horde.

Then again; they could disable Venom Res and Blade in Horde just like they do with duplicates of Global Overclock.

Btw; when will we get the last 2 event-medals this time? Week 15?

It would be my most played class(Lizzie aside because I was that guy who cared about which character they played as more than the class, and I used it in a lot of player hives I did on a low difficulty with that), but frankly, I find it very tiring to basically wait for a moment where I can be useful but it never or barely happens or would be at a point where it’s too late such as the Mulcher Scion earlier in the first Surge act.

Not mentioning when players rush off ahead of the venom when they know how the class works… you’re not particularly prone to said behavior but others I played with are, and I don’t play that class to be a discount Infiltrator or use other ranged weapons all the time.

They could do that or just make the skills work all the time while putting the perks back to whatever they used to be. Then again, they’d probably mess something up with that too.

Although TC clearly has the ability to separate Horde and Escape functionality for stuff given the fact that they shortened X-Ray and Cloak for “balance”. The class doesn’t feel very fun when you spend half or more of the match being a glorified medic if your ranged fighters go down or as the red emergency button if things start going sideways.

Probably as likely to happen as having perks straight from wave 1 because I don’t see the logic of not having them available right away. One wave makes practically no difference unless it’s TCs way of telling people to give their power to an engineer.

Think they were always like this. Only bleeding recieved a buff sometime. And it would also make her less fun in Horde again since you would lose 2 card slots.

True, but going by the old class-description this is basically the role they wanted Lahni to be. Something about pushing the team forward when ■■■■ hits the fan. Still not a very exciting role, like you said. And having to wait for tge Venom-explosion on certain maps just so you can do anything is just stupid ( Warren / Last stand for example).

Maybe we’ll see some changes to PvE in OP6 but going by TCs track record they’re gonna nerf the more fun-classes into oblivion and give COG-Gear something stupid like 100% more dmg with the Snub when 1 or more teammate are DBNO (not dead ofc, don’t wanna promote solo-runs here). Oh, and maybe break Escape even further.

Initially, the perks were not reflective of the Escape counterpart for Scorpio. So Mac didn’t have the Adrenaline Junkie damage boost and whatever the ult cooldown boost in venom is called because it has different names on Keegan and Mac, Keegan didn’t have Venom Boost and Explosive Resupply nor Venom Res(not that I think anyone used it on him), and Lahni didn’t have melee bleed nor venom res.

They did buff the bleed perk once, though I don’t remember when any longer.

Card slots isn’t a point I thought of so keeping the perks is a better idea.

Issue with current Lahni is that in Escape it’s stuck in the mindset of whatever state it was in during Op 2(or whenever they introduced Venom Blade but a build with it in mind only seemed to become popular around Op 2) and possibly 3 before Cole came along(aka people realized how ridiculous that class was) and yeeted itself on the top spot for melee class because it was everything you needed without a venom requirement and even after nerfs still is, assuming whoever is in control doesn’t suck. Players are good enough at the mode - most of those who still bother playing it, anyway - that you’re effectively outrunning venom more than ■■■■ hits the fan. I doubt they intended Keegan’s Venom Resupply in Escape to be used the way it is right now either, eg a convenient ammo drop that you run back into venom for instead of a panic button to have more explosives at hand to push through when the venom is pressuring players.

Not to mention both Keegan and Mac are perfectly capable outside of venom too, meanwhile Lahni either is useless or a pseudo ranged fighter with a Claw(may be powerful but I don’t see the appeal when it is a melee based class at its core) or poor man’s Infiltrator which even Nomad with Fear does better. It’s just not great.

I was a bit shocked when I saw this photo you posted. I never knew Kangaroo meat was edible.

I wouldn’t eat it personally.

That is if they are actually going through the tickets.

With TC’s track record I expect a response by August, and the issue to be fixed sometime next year.

I also don’t understand the need to send in a ticket, if you’ve identified the problem to be with re-up 24 and 25 people pre-update, surely there must be some internal system that identifies people in this range?

This whole situation is just baffling.
