Non Error Code Crashing

Is anybody else still getting this? Initially, my crash was weirdly connected to my account. Would crash to desktop before the game even got to the main menu.

Since Title Update 1 however, the game works (which has been such a relief as I’m really enjoying the game!)

Now though, I’m getting the crash to desktop when I go to load up Act 1 Chapter 6. Gabe talks over the loading screen and then when it’s ready to start, back to the desktop I go.

Tried restarting from the previous mission, works fine again up until starting up Chapter 6. :thinking:

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? I almost wish it did come up with an error as at least it would give me something to actually report to.

I’m getting this in multiplayer. Crashed twice after being in games for ~5-10 minutes. No error code, the game just freezes and I have to kill the app in task manager or wait until it exits itself

Did you ever end up solving this? I’ve tried lots of fixes but nothing has worked :sob:

I am having the same exact issue. The game is unplayable right now because of this problem. Waiting on a response to the support ticket.

I got a Windows update this morning. After that, Act 1 Chapter 6 loads just fine and I was able to play for 5 hours without any crashing.

Same here, must have just been a windows error

My windows is updated and I’m still crashing at Act 1 Chapter 6. I think it’s called Into the Fire. Any advice?

Try putting a support ticket in describing it here: https://support.gearsofwar.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

It might help to include the diagnostic file that gets saved when you turn the Diagnostic Mode setting on in the game.
The file should get saved to %localappdata%\GearsTactics\Saved\Logs\diagnostic.log

They never got back to me, thankfully the latest game update fixed it!!!
