No more Dana Sissons

That’s great! I’m glad he’s gone.

Hopefully we would have a passionate person take up the role Director of Communications soon.

Someone who actually plays the game and knows what the players are talking about.

I wish Dana all the best for his new job.

So very true! He always smiled during the dev-streams, its like he had zero problems in life.

I wish I had his attitude too. I worry about too many unnecessary things.

Staying happy is truly the key to a good life. Also when you are happy, you make others around you happy too.

I guess he got his power of positivity from the New Day.

Lmao

Hopefully Big E also brings his positivity through Cole Train in the upcoming Gears movie.

I never watched streams and don’t know of this guy.

I wish him the best in life and success in whatever he does.

However, anyone involved in the creation of 5 needs to get the boot asap.

Well, he once said “Scotland is not it’s own country” after claiming to have some Scottish heritage.

Unforgivable. Good riddance.

It’s not and I’m sure he does 🤷

Hmmm :unamused:

I’m gutted, I really liked him. I didn’t start playing until OP3 so didn’t suffer the stuff you guys did but I liked the way he went about his job. I like his team and wish him well for the future. I have played a lot of gears over the years and if I did his job you guys would annihilate me too.

All the best for your future roles.

While I don’t appreciate of the negative comments in the sense that they basically just say “Glad he’s gone, good riddance”, I feel like there was some disconnect between the game’s issues and Dana going on. Case in point, the chainsaw reload bug, or a kinda relevant issue anyone who played just a little bit of all modes would definitely have noticed(Escape saferoom loading for example). I also simply cannot overlook how not infrequently Dana would pick up on a question, start answering it and get sidetracked to completely forget about it and not provide an answer before moving on, or misunderstand the question completely.

TL;DR I have no issue with him as an individual but his performance on the stream when it came to answering game questions n the like were not always stellar.

Oh don’t get me wrong I was not happy watching this weeks stream with how little forum questions were touched on. Last 15 minutes I was not a happy bunny, then they dropped the leaving and I let him off. Hopefully kilo will have more of an active presence and the forums are no longer the ginger step child.

Yeah, i feel that way about all of them: i have no issues with Rod, Ron, Octus, Dana, etc as individuals. I just dont feel they did a good job as far as their intended contribution to the gears universe (imo, by my standards, ymmv). In G5.

I wonder who’s gonna be the new face of “We don’t talk about Future Content”?

I suspect no one will do, because future contents are dripping like a leaky faucet now.

Is there even futuren content atm that we don’t know about yet?

@Sashimi7699 Whoever hosts Dev-streams from now, hopefully it’s not Kilo. Guy doesn’t seem very comfortable with being on camera and from what I’ve seen so far he’s being very picky what he’s responding to and what not i.e. unimportant stuff gets multiple replies and gamebreaking stuff gets ignored. So nothing changed really.

Scrapping Duplicates, another tuning changes may be *sarcasm, the leaked skins, and last but not least the end of Gears 5 lifecycle procedures…
