I agree, Execution was a staple and should have been an option…
I understand if they got rid of either execution and kept warzone or vice versa but both is ridiculous… There is no round matches now… No surviving… Execution is where clutching came from…
Yet, they kept both escalation and KOTH… Those are so close as it is… Sad, really sad…
At least GDN is still on the list or I would be done with multiplayer and only plyd horde and the campaign.
We need Execution!! Might have to uninstall just because of it. Every other gears but 5 and us selected few feel more competitive with EXECUTION

Nobody cares about respawn game modes in ranked lets be honest, it’s just not as skill based. Execution was by far the best ranked game mode. You can combine 2v2 with Execution as well since it was pretty much that just fewer people. You can’t give us all respawn game modes, that’s not not fair and you’re catering towards the new players too much. You guys act like it wasn’t played because it was bad, it wasn’t played because the community for it quit since you guys hardly did anything to fix Gears 4, just being blunt. As a die hard supporter of gears of war since day 1 it’s just sad to see all the popular game modes get removed. Wingman, now execution. Warzone was fine, that was for sure a dead game mode, but if you’re only going to have respawn ranked modes you are just forcing us players that don’t enjoy them to play them since we only want to play ranked. It’s just sad at this point, you guys just want to throw away your loyal players and cater to the new. That won’t get you far and unfortunately the same thing that happened to gears 4 will happen to gears 5 as well. I hope you guys will actually think about the players that have been with you from the start instead of only the new players, listen to us. Don’t pull a fortnite and ignore the OG community.

Such lying bs, Ex was not a dead game mode , On a good night you never even faced the same team twice the whole night. Rainbow six and CS are both execution styled games with the top skilled gamers in the world. We had that same vibe on Gears but Ex is too unpredictable and pros can’t stay on top for long. You really think Optic would be dominating if it wasn’t for Escalations rinse repeat run and gun formula ?? LMAO and there was never camping on Gears when epic had it because they did a simple formula that GB adopted, WEAPON RESPAWNS AFTER PICKUP NOT USE!!! Then teams had to play for power or the opposing team could stack up on power weapons and close the round out easy af. Coalition just wants to force feed us escalation cause they know a big majority is still on Ex

The devs are idiots, I’m one of the rare breed that actually loved gears 4 here and I truly believed they would kick on and show some fight, hugely disappointed to get the game today and see the competitive modes are all rubbish respawn, Execution most skilled mode by far,

I understand that they had to reduce the amount of gametypes. And maybe Execution showed the lowest population in Gears 4. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that people don’t like the gametype, they just may have disliked the way it was implemented in Gears 4. I love Execution but did not play it quite often due to the bad implementation in Gears 4.
So I really hope that they bring back Execution in a further update or at least offer one gametype for ranked with single elimination. Having only respawn gametypes is really sad and reduces the variety of game play extremely. I would also be fine with them adding Search and Destroy or any other single elimination gametype.

Please please PLEASE bring execution back! Super sad for me as well, execution has been my maon game type since gears 1…I play some of the others from time to time but not as much. I just dont love the king of the hill style, I feel like it promotes spamming nades and concentrated lancer fire on a certain area making it extremely frustrating taking back spots. I totally understand how there is a lot of strategy in a game type like that but alot of times when you just wanna enjoy the game and dont have friends online and your teammates refuse to talk in game you cant get any strat going. I just love the one life a round style hightened challenege of that game type like I would settle for ranked dodgeball even. I could just go on for ever but it just hurts that my fav part of this game that I have been loving and loyal to since gears 1 has been booted…P.S if you can still play in custom lobbies but need to invite friends only to play, that doesnt work either I dont have 8 friends lol.

Execution and warzone were the only modes in first GOW all these other modes are for people who can’t survive on one life
Dude I feel you, I just bought game other day it’s B.S it’s only in social all these guys on here saying they don’t like it probably never played GOW 1 and GOW 2, I’ll be back on GEARS UE, better competition there.

They announced on Twitter less than an hour ago, that Ranked Execution is coming back later today. It was apparently removed because it was not popular.
They will be monitoring how popular it is over the next few months, and potentially removing it again depending on what the data shows them,

Wrong. Annex was in Gears 1.
It’s not hard to play with only one life per round. It’s just not fun.
