I have just started playing this game and have some questions

I just finished a rescue mission. A note on the soldier said that he will leave after two missions. Which of the following does this mean?

  1. He will leave after going on two missions
  2. He will leave the pool after two missions if not recruited
  3. If recruited, he will leave after two missions, even if he does not go on them

If a recruit does leave or is fired, does he leave behind any gear mods that he had equipped. Related to this, is there an easy way to remove all gear modes from soldiers not going on a mission so they can be used by those that are?

Absolutely. Great way to get new Gear, including better snubs.

There is sadly no easy way out, there is no shortcut home.
